A lot of them claim to know it and say they read the Bible more than we do. Of their own free will they reject it. Do you feel obligated to still try and convince them otherwise?

Are we wasting time answering their posts? Even if you answer every post correctly won't they still be in the end - atheist?

Is it possible for an atheist to change his/her mind? Yes, it is. It has happened. But, it almost always takes some sort of major life event that makes them rethink their world view. Trying to talk someone into believing in something that they just don't is pointless. Your words have about as much impact on us as ours do on you. We're not going to be able to talk you into being an atheist. Why do you think you can talk us into being Christians? You might think it's obvious that Christianity is the right path, but we think that it's obvious that it is not. Obviously, the only thing that's obvious is that nothing is obvious. So, I guess my answer is that yes, I feel that most atheists know enough about Christianity to make an informed decision, and you're not doing anyone any favors when you try to convert one.

God calls atheists fools and this is a serious thing to be called. There are many things God calls foolish. But what is interesting is that many are called a fool in the Bible, but God calls the athiest "the fool". He seems to be singled out by God that he is the the fool of fools. Like "the baker" "the king" the merchant" "the servant" "the man" "the woman" "the sun" "the heavens" "the Israelites" "the Hittites" and "the fool" which is actually the one who says in his heart, "there is no God." The key word here is "heart" Not believes it , mind you, just says it. I agree that one would have to be a fool to even say such a thing.
I know this little kid in my town, he is 11 or twelve and he speaks horribly about God, denies his existence and uses profanity. He is filled with hate for God.
Since he is a kid, not even in his teens. I tried to do some investigation about him. I wondered. He is reported to have said he isn't taught this at home, but he came up with this stuff himself.
If this is true, then he is appointed to this.
Sad thought.
But Christ died also for him.

At some point they may rethink their decision to deny GOD. I would so much want to be the witness talking with them when the transformation comes on them. To see the light of GOD shinning in their eyes how wonderful. Only GOD can soften their heart to receive HIS gift of salvation we need only to be HIS voice as HE directs. I don't think anyone has sufficiently heard the gospel of CHRIST it is new and wonderful each and every time.

Yes. But I think it is quite funny how they say they know the Bible better then us. So they don't believe in God, yet continually try to disprove him. They say our Bible is totally wrong and continually try to disprove it.

Why, in the wide, wide, world of sports do you think they try to disprove something that they say isn't there to begin with? Totally hilarious to me.

But what amuses me the most is that they think they are going to change my mind about my beliefs and really what they do is re-enforce them all the more.

Yes. I'm an atheist, and I'd say that's exactly right.
If you are only here to convert people, then I'd say it's a waste of time....and you'd speak out against atheists doing that (I'd guess). But, if you are here for discussion and fun, then it's never a waste of time.

As an atheist I can tell you that I do know the bible- have read it several times- went to church for a long time and everyone can continue to preach it to me and unless it is GOD HIMSELF I will not believe it.

It really doesn't matter much. It is like reading Mythology to me. You can't change such an opinion by reading a story book!

Yes we will be.

Especially since many of us are ex-Christians.

We've already left the faith and have no intention of going back.
