No, that's all right, I know the difference. They are just sets of two words that sound the same, but have different means. English has more of those, I'm sure. That's one of the things that makes English such a hard langauge for foreigners sometimes.

They are homophones. They sound the same, but have different meanings and spellings. Like to, two, and too. (Although loose and lose sound different)

lose - if you misplace something. If you gamble, you will probably lose your money.

loose - when something is not tight or tied. My shoe laces are loose.

there - indicates position or direction. I am going there. I sat there.

their - indicates possession. That is their food, not yours.

lose is as to lose... like i will lose the money

loose is like if something is not tight.....my ring is loose

there is as if pointing to a direction......where is it? there.

+ their means belonging to a group.....its their house
