I want to use reception sticks as a wedding favor, but I haven't been able to come up with a cute yet simple way to wrap them up. I tried using ribbons, but I'm having trouble getting the bows even, and getting them to stay on the candy.

I say use the same type of material as your dress, or the same pattern type, and put the sticks in cellophane bags tied with the material. Top it off with a mini daisy and voila!

You should wrap a small cloth rose on it. They come in a bunch with a wire stem that can be wrapped around the reception stick.

Tall organza bags or tulle bags, Ribbon won;t slipp of of them.

If you don't want to use bags, try to tie (or glue) the ribbons to strechy bands that will securely tie around the stick. Look in teh craf section, they sell streschy gold, silver, white etc. rubber band like ribbon.

Good luck

Go to a crafts shop like AC Moore, Ben Franklin, Michael's etc or look online. They sell tons of stuff that you can probably use, like small flowers you can use so a bow does't look sloppy, or find a friend who can help you tie them.

Use plastic communion cups. Put them in with the rice or bird seed. That way they will be tied with something and not slip apart and will easier to give to the guests.
