My husband is an illegal he cant get a green card because he lied about being a us citizen when he was 17yrs. hes now 44. So in order for our family to feel safe from all these new laws i decided that i want to move to canada. I cant move to mexico because I dont like it there. I have a degree in interior design and hes a license eletrician. Would canada let him enter from the us side with just his passport? once we got there whats the easiest way to get jobs sponser and or become legal resident. I dont want to jump out of the fire into the frying pan. Any help would be appriciated. P.s we own our own buisness and two homes. I was told that would be important. thanks

You need to hire a Canadian immigration attorney; he/she will answer all questions you have and will help you with the paperwork (of which there is going to be a fair bit). There are also attorneys in the U.S. that can assist you with Canadian immigration.

There are at least two programs that allow you to immigrate to Canada without having any family there:

Skilled Worker Class Immigration:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/

Business Class Immigration:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/business/

The requirements are very different, so be sure to look into both.

In addition, Canadian provinces (unlike U.S. states) are allowed to nominate people for immigration based on criteria they set. See if you can qualify for one of the provincial nominations:

"So my question is, if these weapons are coming from the US, how is an assault weapon ban on legal guns and citizens going to stop the flow of illegal full auto machine guns and AK-47s into Mexico ?" Answer: It won't.

what you say you wont like it in mexico but they say they love it and its such a great place they even wave their flags here now maybe your husband didn't but hes been here a long time not to try and fix being legal i am sure Canada will open their arms to all those who wish to run there and find job sponsors for everyone so good bye and good luck !

get ready Canada it has begun they are moving your way

and don't forget Canada you have to take them by the millions provide everything for them let them destroy jobs then you will get to hear how Canadians never did those jobs in the first place you will have to learn their language and let them play by different rules no insurance fake documents etc etc . i can go on oh yeah i am sure then Canada will be the greatest place and us back woods Americans we can be jealous tee hee NOT!

Contact Canadian immigration. Here's their website on immigration. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/faq/immigrating-1.html Owning a business might be important because one of the ways to qualify for immigrant status is to make a 400K canadian dollar investment in a business in Canada.

The website says you should do it before you move, but that's up to you.

You might also try to find a Canadian immigration lawyer.

Tell the Canadian goverment that your husband is an American soldier who doesn't want to go to Iraq, with the rest of his unit... That should work.

Canada is more tolerant. The Us has become the "old South" almost a Negro Lynching mentality. (No offense to African Americans)

Canada will welcome hard working citizens such as yourself. Just fill out the paperwork.

America loved the South American's for so long, but now they are spiteful and petty.

Ignore the ignorant people. They obviously dont understand Canada is a better and more mature country then us. You shouldnt have any problems. Sorry that you and your family have to leave here just because of the predjudice and ignorant people. I have thought about moving there also...only cuz i know its a matter of time before some country tries to blow us all away...I dont blame them truthfully...its pathetic here its more pathetic thinking our way is the only way!!! Good Luck!! Maybe we can meet up in Canada for coffee....after all...I have feeling Canada is going to end up better and stronger then the US!!!
