No reason it cannot happen, although it is probably very rare. As the previous writer said, a cut in the tear duct or a cut in the tear glands themselves - possibly from a sliver of glass getting into the eye. Or maybe someone who has ingested too much blood thinner so that they are bleeding from every orifice. Some infections of the eye can turn the white of the eye completely red so it might appear that the person is crying blood. I've never seen it, though.

Yes you can appear to cry blood. There can be a defect in the tear duct of the eye that causes blood cells to be directed to the duct and when you cry those blood cells color the tear red or blood colored. While its not completely composed of blood it can visually appear to be blood

I've never seen that done, but I've heard adults in my family tell crying children after they had just gotten in trouble to cry until you cry blood. Don't know why they say it.

when u have yellow fever u can. its one of the symptoms. at least i think its yellow fever, it might be sum other disease.
