I got a ticket for not having insurance in my car. I have something I can bring in. Do they check you insurance that you bring them to get rid of the ticket or do they just want to see it?

Depends on where you live. Where I live they want a FAX from the insurance company. Several years ago I got a ticket for no current insurance proof at a check point in New York. I was out of state and they let me mail in proof of insurance, and I did not have to pay.

If they're satisfied with what you show them, that's the end of it.
