actually, it might surprise you, but you really shouldn't try to teach another woman how to raise her kids.

i know you mean well, but as long as she's not training them on how to kill and operate gas chambers, there's really no harm.

americans, believe it or not, use propaganda to make our enemies look worse than they really are. some people, esp if they werent born here, might not hate hitler that much!

and please dont worry, because in sophomore year, they will get enough info on how horrible hitler was.

so just relax and teach them what YOU want them to know when they are with YOU. and dont antagonize their mother.

good luck ^^

You might consider figuring out if your little girl's mom is really a believer in white supremacy. If so (as opposed to her just enjoying collecting German antiques), you will need to explain to your daughter that different people believe different things. You will also need to explain that some people dislike people for their religion, skin color, etc., and this is bad.

I don't know the age of the little girl but there are picture books about the Holocaust designed for young children. An example would be "The Number on my Grandfather's Arm" (for grades 1-4) http://www.amazon.com/Number-My-Grandfathers-Arm/dp/0807403288/ref=pd_sim_b_5/104-6861934-1384733?ie=UTF8&qid=1177013075&sr=1-3

You might ask a librarian at your public library to provide other suggestions. Good luck. It's a difficult topic and conversation, especially for a young child.

You should post pictures of the Jewish Holocaust, taker her to holocaust survivor websites. If possible take her to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.

Tell her, if you favor Nazis then you need to see both sides and you need to know about the horrible crimes committed by them.

Then have her do an Internet report on the Holocaust, start her with the fact that the Germans have acknowledged the Nazi Death Camps. They admit that the did indeed kill Jews in wholesale lots and they have apologized to the Jewish people for the crimes committed against them.

Have her research the origins of the so called Aryan Race. The Aryans started out in China, moved to India and then moved to Northern Europe. The only reason they would do this would be if they got their rear ends kicked out of the temperate climate and forced to go into the unexplored regions of Northern Europe.

Then have her research all the crimes committed against the blacks in slavery. Tell her that if the Nazis held power then this is how they would want to treat black people.

Then ask her, "What do you see in the Nazis that makes them so attractive to you?"

I suggest you fight fire with fire, fight propaganda with the truth. As a parent that is part of your duty as a reasoning human adult it is your responsibility to show her both sides of the issue and educate her.

Actually a good source for understanding is the Souther Poverty Law Centers web site. It has become famous for it's successful law suits against different organizations like the KKK etc., and gives information about tolerance and the history of hate.

Tell her that you are Jewish - No just joking. Hate can be unlearned with a lot of hard work and patience.

Watch movies like - The Hiding Place, Schindler's List, Sophie's choice.....Movies that really tear down Hitler and his army.

it truly is her historic previous and memories -that's who SHE is. even as it may worry you somewhat to ascertain your husband in pictures mutually with his former spouse that's an major component of his historic previous on condition that he has a baby. you won't be able to erase what got here about formerly both of you met. She's in straightforward words 16 and that i doubt she's doing it to be malicious. fairly because the failings are latest in her own room and on her own inner most workstation. that's would not sound like she's putting up pictures in the course of something of the domicile. i'm positive it harm her extraordinarily even as her dad requested her to take them down - like he's disregarding her mom for this reason disregarding her. You all must be genuine looking with one yet another as a fashion to maintain peace.

Why are you with her then if it bothers you??? She is a racist and you married her so now you have to deal with the way she raises her kids. It's not right and they will learn the truth one way or the other.
