are you planning on getting pregnant again ever? because if you do, whatever you do to remedy your current tattoo situation will happen again. you could go either way... have them touched up (but the stretch marks will still likely be somewhat visible.) or you can have it covered up but the fact that they are black would limit what you could have them covered with... it would have to be something with a black area atleast as big as the current tattoo. remember that coverups are always considerably larger than the original.
hope that helped.

Hm ... Maybe use a stretch mark reducing cream or lotion and see about getting touch ups done after the stretch marks are gone. Shae Butter lotions and Cocoa extracts are good. They heal the skin and in the process reduce the appearance of stretch marks for some people. If those don't work I think asking an artist about cover ups would be best so that they look clean again. Hope they go back to normal or you get it all worked out. Congrats on the baby!!!

If it was me i'd get it covered up and get a totally new design. If you still like the chinese symbols and they still have meaning to you then get them touched up. The reason i say get a cover up is because i've seen some really good cover ups and they always look better than the original tattoo.

I'm not speaking from personal experience, but I do know people who've regretted similarly placed tats d/t them disfiguring during pregnancy. On your side, it will not stretch in the same way as one on the stomach would; it will actually probably end up looking worse, because the stretch will be asymetrical. At least directly on the stomach, it would be even. After you lose the baby weight, it will mostly recede back to a semblance of what it look like before. It will never look quite right, though, and how off it is will depend on how resilient your skin is. If you think you are likely to have much in the way of stretch marks, than I would say avoid that area. They will correspond pretty closely with each other.

Honestly, who hasn't has this happen to them? It's okay relax it' snot the end of the world. Look, before taking any major steps try Cocoa Butter or if you have the money try a product called Bior.If these products do no work then I would recomend a touch up. When you get a tattoo the skin is redifined and with time it will tighten as it heals.

Because the originals stretched, I'd say get cover-up(s). Touch up would be rather difficult and probably wouldn't look as good as a cover-up.

A touch up would maintain the original design and style of the old tattoo, as opposed to a cover up, which would completely mask or rework the design. Please note that that not all artists are willing to do touch ups on any tattoo by another artist.

I think you should just get a touch up. It sounds that you had very nice tattoos before it looked messed up.
