Sort of. It's not a law though, it's a guideline. It's hard to have relationships with people if both people are pursuing two different goals. Christians are trying to live their lives altruistically for God whereas atheists live their lives selfishly for themselves. Chaos tends to happen when a house tries to move in two directions. Then one person has to start compromising one's values and normally it's the Christian who slowly erodes into a non-believer.

Well, some might like to think that. But generally, it involves two people marrying who don't share the same goals or beliefs. When that happens, it not only creates friction but can lead to resentment. That's why things work better in marriage if both partners are pulling in the same direction.

There is no law condeming marrying someone of another faith. There was in the Old Testament, but not anymore.
We are warned about it, because it could lead you away from the faith. it is much easier to be in a relationship if the other person holds the same values as yourself.

have you ever heard bad company courrupts good charter? That is What God advised His belivers in him Jesus/ and His holy sprit., all in one being God. It is also refered to unequally yoked.
For this meaning it puts the beliver in a compomising condition with worldly ways. thus being led astray from the GOD.
