what is the correct symbol to use if I want to attract muslims? Or pagans? atheists? Does yahoo do special characters like ∅ ? That would be a neat one for us atheists.

Markyyy, I have always riled against that irony symbol. If you have to tell people you are being ironic, where is the fun in it?

...and so soon we will have not only language-, but also religion-adapted keyboards, with extra keys for the special characters (little religious symbols, minute faces of saints, flowers and ghosts and so on, for atheists - all these with a barred circle on), and then the religion of the keyboard will be changeable with alt+shift+star; and there will be a religion bar next to the language bar. I can't wait to see the religion bar Help.

I sense a very strong buildup of tension in you young man,and an obsession with the idea that religious are harming you and the source of all your problems. i really think you should talk to your guidance counselor about this. We don't need another Eric Harris, that poor child at Columbine. You young people so many problems today. I can understand the anger, but it does need to be dealt with. May God bless you.

The <>< is attractive and I have used it myself on answers but I don't think it will make a difference in questions. It's the content that counts.

I don't know what that character was, it just looks like a square to me (are you calling atheists squares?) I think your first symbol will only attract bigger fish.

~>%<~

(I guess that's the closest I can get to a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Pretty sad I know.)

For most atheists this one would work fine:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony_mark

Maybe it'll help people see that many questions and answers are truly meant as irony. Maybe.

Edit: I know, right? It's hideous. There already are two irony marks: birth and death. Everything in between is irony. But you wanted a sign..

Eh, since we believe in nothing, maybe three lines of emptyness?

How's that?

How about a miniature weenie? Most of you wiggans & Godknockers are just junior high boys,so what could be more appropriate? Well, actually I think the boys are the atheists and the girls go wiggen. I don't know what they could use. A miniature tampon?

Ay, just your screen name attracts me Acid Zebra. ;-)

Besides, I don't think there is a symbol on the keyboard for Asatru, it surely wouldn't be the same as the Wiccan's triple Goddess symbol that's for sure.
