Yes that is correct.I travelled last Oct to Philadelphia with my ninety year old mother and she was also finger printed on arrival.Its just got to be done after all this terrorism stuff.

Yes, they take a print of your index finger and a photo. They also scan in your passport.

Yes, I flew from Heathrow to LA last year and I had to have my index finger done and had to have my photo taken with like a web cam thing. Stepping up security

Yes US immigration do this as well as take your photo on arrival at the landing airport.
Just one finger on each hand.
Don't joke with these guys.

Yes and take your photo too, and a Beagle called Millie sniffs your butt for bombs and drugs and especially those big sacks of just dug from the ground potatoes which we are all prone to take on holiday with us.

Never heard of it. But if you are employed in certain jobs such as civil service, teachers, home health aides hospitals nursing homes and day care and such, your fingerprints are taken before you can work.
Also when you get your green card there is a fingerprint on it.

yes, they make you place your right and left index fingers on a finger print scanner when you go through immigration

Yep. I was in transit in LA flying from London to Auckland and they took my fingerprints and scanned my eyes. Fair enough I think. I don't have anything to hide.
