Prom is an event that occurs your senior year of high school. It's VERY important to lots of girls...they dress up in beautiful dresses and prep with makeup and jewelry for hours. Guys wear tuxedos, of course, because this if a formal event. At prom, you will mostly be dancing, chatting, snacking, and having a good time.

I don't find it important, but here's what it is:
Prom is THE dance of your high school career. You can go as a junior or senior, or if you're younger, you can go with a junior or senior.
They are usually very fancy. There is dancing and there are pictures.
If you want to know what to wear, go to a bridal store or a dress shop and ask for their selection of prom dresses.

It's a formal event where everyone gets dressed nicely and they usually go to a function/banquet hall for dancing and dinner. Many people enjoy going to these events, while some do not. It's somewhat like a fancy party, girls wear dresses and guys wear tuxedos.

A prom is a dance attended by graduating seniors. It's as important as you want it to be. You can go or not - your choice. If you do go, wear a prom dress. You can browse any teen magazine to look at them.

it's when seniors have this really important dance they can invite underslassmen but it's very much for seniors

i've got my prom in july!! eeevery1 is talking about it + it really is important. u have 2 wear formal clothes otherwise your not allowed in :D

it's a big thing when you graduate!
you wear a big dress and all the boys wear suits!
Most people go in like limos and stuff!
i guess it's just celebration being free :-)
