Keeping in mind that each person tolerates pain and heals differently..., Mine got pretty "throbby" right about when you're talking about, so I made sure that I took the dose of pain medication I was prescribed. You were prescribed something for pain, weren't you? If not, I'd recommend calling your dentist and asking for something...I was given a very short prescription.

I will say that once I took the meds, it didn't actually make the pain go completely away, but I felt too dopey to really notice or care! ;->

I gave myself permission to lay around and "veg out" for as long as I wanted, eventually falling asleep, so I didn't feel a lot---until the medication wore off. THEN, I realized why it was important!
It helped me "not notice" the ache-y-ness enough to sleep through the night.

The next day, I was definitely sore. Food wasn't too much of an issue because I ate soft stuff: mashed potatoes and milkshakes (I say, no calories count during times of medical necessity!). And when the throbbing got to be too much--like if I was hanging out with someone & talking & moving around a lot--I took a dose of medicine.

By the second day, I was only mildly ache-y and never got any swelling really. One of my favorite bands was playing that night and I went to the show--carefully--making sure I didn't get "bumped," since my whole facial area WAS decidedly tender. AND I did need one more half-dose of medicine that night, but that was it. I got by with Tylenol after that.

I think all the horror stories I'd heard about getting my wisdom teeth out had freaked me out more than when I actually had it done!
Good luck to you--be good to yourself.

Whatever anyone tells you cannot be true in your case. My husband had his wisdom teeth pulled and it didn't hurt at all (naturally on the same day it hurt a little, but nothing serious). I have other friends however, who had a lot of pain. Pai is subjective and it is different for everyone. It is normal that you feel some pain. There is no reason to suffer though, take some painkillers (NOT aspirin, because it may cause bleeding), but paracetamol or ibuprofen can help if you are not allergic to them or something. Also cold water may help, if you are allowed to fill your mouth with water by the dentist. Patience, I am sure the pain will stop in a day or two.

you would be nice throughout the time of the technique each and every of ways out is a great thank you to have this executed. the three to 4 days once you will might desire to do right here: no smoking, no eating alcholic liquids, no eating by using a straw, mushy ingredients no longer something like chips or popcorn until eventually ultimately your healed. The mouth heals quite on the instant. 24 hrs after the procdure you may desire to rinse gently with heat salt water. i'm useful which you will get those instructions once you pass away. The extra energetic you're after the surgical treatment the extra you will bleed. a sprint blood and a sprint spit feels like an excellent form of blood... do no longer panic.

It will swell and hurt for a week or two. I spent the first day with my mouth full of goze, then I could eat nothing but ice cream and soup, and even then it was uncomfortable. Give it a week or two...unless you did what I did and had them taken out a side at a time (one side one week, then the other 2-3 weeks later) then I hurt for a month or more.

It is pretty sore for the 1st two days. Take the vicodin! One thing that bothered me was food getting stuck in the holes that were left from the teeth getting pulled.

Also, steer clear of others, you face gets swollen and people will make fun of you!

Mine hurt quite a bit, but they had to be more or less "scraped" from the bone. The only problem I had was a dry socket. If your pain is worse tomorrow than it is today, then you need to contact your surgeon. You should get gradually better each day.

Tonight will get a bit unpleasant (stay on top of your pain medications) but it will get better.

At least the bleeding stopped
