For human beings with fever, sweating naturally is the best way to overcome fever. It might work on animals (unlikely), try giving your cat some vitamin c; that'll work!

Definitely make sure that the food you are feeding her, has not been recalled:

Other than that, you need to take your cat to another vet, for a second opinion. Sounds like your cat is suffering from something more than just a fever (or one HECK of a fever!), and a vet should be able to do something more to help.

I also suggest a second opinion- quickly. That kind of brush-off was what I got from a snake-oil salesman masquerading as a vet when the kitty I took to him was very plainly sick.
Did your kitty eat any of the tainted food? Is she urinating? What about her hips? I could be remembering wrong, but some breeds are prone to problems with their spines and hips.
Good luck!

It's not from the Pet food recall is it? I would go to a different vet. a fever wouldn't make her back away when you pet her would it? GOOD luck!

the second one

I highly recommend a different vet! If she has a fever, there is a reason to it! Persians typically have disc problems in their backs too. But something tells me this is not related!

it will be existence and absence of life yet in basic terms your vet can say for useful. Has she had all of her vaccinations? If no longer it will be any variety of diseases extremely if she's an outside cat. If there are not any emergency vets on your section that U can bypass to, Im sorry to say there is no longer something you are able to do except make her as comfortable as plausible until eventually Monday morning. maximum vets, despite the indisputable fact that might want to be paged so that you'll attempt to call your established vet and word if there is an emergency huge type on their recording. if so, whoever's contained in the power will web page the vet who will in turn call you and inform you what your next plan of action might want to be. until eventually then do what U can to get her to save ingesting and ingesting. as long as she beverages and eats she might want to be ok. despite the indisputable fact that if she stops then she's in genuine problem. desire this helps.

I'd suggest getting a second opinion from a different vet to be on the safe side. It doesn't take long for cat's to get really sick.
