In this day and age, I would do the same thing. But you should TELL your son that the device is going to be there. Just knowing that you can find out where he is will be deterrent enough to goof off.

there's a extensive volume of have confidence that fogeys might desire to have with their toddlers. monitoring their each and every flow or interpreting each and every text textile message is a vast sign of mistrust on the make certain's area which on occasion acts as a initiate for the cycle of: mothers and dads limit, teenagers riot, mothers and dads are extra strict because of the fact the riot, the infants riot extra, and so on. make certain's might desire to be waiting to have confidence their teenagers. in the event that they might't, there is no longer a fashion for human beings to have a great relationship with their infants because of the fact the infants sense like they now might desire to continually seem over their shoulder. A make certain might desire to easily require a telephone call while the youngster arrives at their holiday spot, then a txt message or a quick telephone call each and every hour and a a million/2 or so. If the youngster loses the have confidence granted to them after that THEN the make certain can initiate screaning messages or putting in GPS structures. yet no longer in the previous the youngster loses the have confidence.

Yes I would. No matter how good and responsible your child is things happen.

If he is on his way home and has an accident and his car can't be seen from the road and he is unable to call. Then GPS could pin point his location, making locating him quicker and his chances for survival greater.

I'm 18, and I wish that my parents
had installed a GPS in my car.

They come in handy.
& I know this is going to
sound really weird coming
from a teenager, but if
you want to know where
he is, some models come
with a tracking device.

Good luck to your son!

I think it is a good idea as long as you, as a parent, dont abuse it. It would be ok to use it if he is late getting home or if he isnt answering your calls or something, but I wouldnt suggest using it to follow his every move . You need to show him that you trust him and that the GPS is for emergencies only.

I would just incase he gets lost or the car gets stolden. I think it would be wrong to use it to see where he is going all the time unless he is a bad kid.I would just use it for saftey reason's there are a lot of freaks out there

No. The only way I would give my kid his own car is if he has proved to me that he's trust-worthy. And has shown that he can make right decisions when needed.

YES! What a fantastic idea! He may view it as an invasion of privacy, but I think it would be a great safety feature.
