The smart ones don't try to impress. It's a game that you girls have no idea you're playing in. When a guy knows what he's doing he doesn't show you he's interested at all. And ALL girls want what they think they can't have, GUYS: this is why when you're with a girl you have a lot of other girls that are interested in, because you're not showing interest. The guys that try to impress don't fare to well usually. Sometimes you'll find a girl with a low self esteem who will go for the desperate ones but most girls like a strong self-confident guy. Good question though.

Because its natural to them. Its harder for them because they have to try and work at getting a girl. Us girls dont have to work and just wait around for a boy to catch us. Thats why they try to impress. If they didn't then how else would relationships get started unless the girls are the ones trying to impress and will actuallu pursue a boy.

Actually, the human species is one of the few where the females spend more time trying to impress the males and attract their attention, than the other way around.
In most of the animal kingdom, it IS the males who go about trying to attract/impress the females.

Because in most developed societies (universal sufferage and democratic) women are the sexual gatekeepers as it were.
When it comes to dating/sex/relationships/whatever there are three things that people can do:
1. Proposition. Ask someone out.
2. Accept a proposition.
3. Reject a proposition.
Men are typically forced into the position to only be able to do the first option (proposition) because no one propositions them (typically).

look we just feel the need to compete so we try to find the most beautiful woman to us and as long as she dopes the things that brought us there then more than likely we will stay ok

I think they just like attention. You'll get used to it, you will find it is common no matter how old they are.
