I love some homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and some greens and fried okra. I am also fond of cornbread made in a cast iron skillet and country ham biscuits. So yes, I love that southern cooking.

Yes, southern cooking is my favorite. My favorite is anything with gravy....And homemade biscuits...Yummy! My style of cooking is southern. I wasnt raised that way, mom yankee (lol) but then I married a southern man who's mom WAS a wonderful cook. Before her passing she gave me alot of her recipes.But nobody can duplicate her 'nana pudding, I think it was also the love she put into her cooking. I think that is why I love Paula Deen and her recipes, she reminds me of my mother-in-law :0}

Edit: My all time favorites are: country ham, and grits with red eye gravy. Ooh yea, country fried steak with gravy, biscuits, blackeye peas, fried okra, cornbread, and a big tall glass of sweet tea.

I love southern cooking too. My husband was born in the south and I lived in Nashville for 6 years while my husband was on recruiting duty for the Marines. Fried chicken, southern green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken fried steak, homemade chicken and dumplings, macaroni and cheese (homemade of course), biscuits and gravy, and my husband loves greens. I do not like fried catfish though. It's too strong. I prefer something more mild, like grouper.

I like French cooking, I like the taste as it is well devloped. it takes a bit of time but the flavor is worth it, it is also multi layered. French cooking is not difficult it just takes time, ingrdients are cooked slowly together. Butit is not foodthat you have to watch carefully so you can set it up and go do something else.
