Christian that is why. Christians claim to be Christians but have no relationship with the Father. Its not what you say you are its what you really are. God interprets the scripture to you if you have a relationship with Him. Peace out.......

One reason is false prophets misleading many as Jesus told Christians would happen.(Matthew 24: 11) People just accept what they are told without serious questioning. They do apply their own reasoning (what little they use) dispite what the scripture you quoted says.
"Never let the facts get in the way of what you believed in the past." This is the motto of many.
The Bible is consistant all the way throughout. That is really something considering the 1500+ years it took to write from start to finish. Although each person may get something different from the same passage depending on where they are in life, the basic interpretation is the same. Use of other scriptures clarify the interpretation as being the proper one.

First of all, there are 30 different Bibles and none are correctly translated. Most are a result of political consensus. Many make interpretations without knowledge of history. Some just push their own agenda, some put overemphasis on the Old Testament, which differs even from Jewish writings where it is taken from. Some take isolated passages and claim it addresses current issues and ignore the negatives (for instance, abortion is never mentioned in the Bible, but incest and the killing of pregnant women is repeatedly supported by God).
I think most Christianity is about control of others since most seem to de-emphasize Jesus' main teaching- Do unto others as you would have done unto you (assuming of course you aren't into S&M).

One problem is called text proofing. That is they will make an interpretation from one verse without considering the context or what is said on the subject in other books of the Bible.
If you do not text proof the Bible will in large part interpret itself with assistance of the Holy Spirit; that is to say Jesus Christ present in you. Since He wrote it His interpretation is the only correct.
It is the Spirit and not men that guide you into all truth concerning the word of God.
Bottom line -- Not having the Holy Spirit, not having current prophecy and attempting to use the "I think" and "In my opinion" methods. Increasingly poor translations containing 800 to 1000 errors; said to correct what was already wrong.

All the different "interpretations" started when they wanted to mix pagan beliefs with Christianity to make it more appealing to a lot of people. St. Augustine is credited with doing that; I saw it in a high school history book. Today I don't know why people read the Bible and get all different kinds of things out of it; they could ask me and I would tell them the correct interpretation.
No, seriously, I think in most cases they just take verses out of context and apply them to suit the way they want to live.

Ask five different people to describe and interpret Huckleberry Finn and you will get five different takes on it.
And that is a pretty straighforward book. Far less for one full of symbolism and metaphor.
You cannot separate human conciousness, subjectivity and the social/political/scientific views influencing the environment from it no matter how hard you try.

possibly you may desire to have study closer what Paul reported while he reported at a million Cor a million:10 "Now I exhort YOU, brothers, contained in direction of the call of our Lord Jesus Christ which you may desire to all talk in settlement, and that there should not be divisions between YOU, yet which you would be fitly united interior a similar recommendations and interior a similar line of theory." And what do we see as quickly as we seem on the nominal church homes of Christianity on the instant? They kill their fellow Jesus lover because of the fact they seem to be a various race or nationality. all of them (30,000+ denominations properly worth of them) have faith particularly some issues approximately Jesus and who he grew to become into and what he taught. there's no cohesion or 'talking in settlement.' yet oh properly! The asker says disunity is better. who's Paul while in comparison with the asker? additionally, if i don't have faith the present coaching approximately, as an instance, 'this technology,' will I be dfed? No. I even have stated such issues with elders and others and on no account as quickly as been threatened with disfellowshipping. What if I, say, have a various interpretation approximately blood and the Mosaic regulation? Will I be df'd? No. Why? because of the fact i do no longer pass around shoving my interpretations in others' faces, inflicting divisions, sects and discord interior Christ's congregation. I additionally comprehend that i do no longer understand the definitive answer to the meaning. and that i take the physique of recommendations that Jehovah is utilising the honest and Discreet Slave to steer us and he will exhibit the actuality by using them as he has another precise coaching: Trinity, hellfire, kingdom, paradise, magnitude of God's call, situation of the lifeless, the preaching of the good information, ect., ect. This is talking about the God of this system of things, witch is Satan, he is the God of the world right now thats why it's so bad, and people blame bad things that happen on the only true a God, when infact it's Satan. God is a title, a supreme being. Gods name is Jehovah.
2 Corinthians 4:4, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through
Revelations 12:9, So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
Job 1:7, Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.”
So people don't really study the Bible and come to their own conclusions, they allow someone else to explain it to them, they are to lazy to read and study. These scriptures clearly state that Satan is roaming the earth, and that he is the BAD GOD of this world.

How to interpret Biblical text.....
To better understand we need to be rock solid on what we believe and why? We can interpret meaning "saying it in our own words", but NOT change the meaning that is there..
2Pt:1:20: "Knowing this first", that "no prophecy of the scripture" is of any "private" interpretation.. =One's own opinion=meaning
Interliner and Strongs studies..
NT:2398 idios (id'-ee-os); of uncertain affinity; "pertaining to self", i.e. "one's own"; by implication, private or separate: Simply we cannot change the one true meaning ! Just worded in our way "not changed" .. FACT ! Stay with that !

It's not just Christians. Non-Christians interpret the Bible as a pack of lies.
At least take some consolation about how most Christians, despite differing interpretations, are on virtually the same page. :P
