My boyfriend of three years wants me to give him a paternity test for my unborn child. I think he is just scared of the responsibility. He hasnt been there for me at all during this pregnancy. First he wanted the baby , then he didnt and even last month at my 5th month of pregancy asked me to get an abortion. I hung up the phone on him. Now he 's acting all lovey dubby again, wanting me to give theb aby his mane, but when i asked him about the baby shower he didnt want his family involved. Whatever!! So my plan is the next time he says something I'm gonna tell him to go scratch his ***. I Its obvious he's not gonna be a full time father and I went through that with my own dad . I dont know if I should even bother with him. I know financially nad physically he wont be there with or without a test. He's too self absorbed. I neede helpthis week just to pay for the vitamins. He said he would give me half, i'm still waiting. So should I give him the stupid paternity test or not.

Let him do the DNA test and then leave him alone - take it from someone who has been there done that. My daughter came out looking just like her dad and THEN after 2 years he asked for a DNA test. And it came out 99.99% - and of course he is gone again. It's not fair to the child or you - so do the DNA and file child support papers and let him make a decision about what part he wants to play in your childs life and hold him to that - if he fails then don't let him have any part in your child's life. These kids are better off without deadbeats! Just make sure you make him pay child support, you guys deserve that at least!

Get the test. You will need it to get child support from this jerk.
