I want to make my white frosting blue. Its duncan heinz creamy white frosting. Can I just add some food coloring to it? How would I do this?

Yep. Just stir it up really well. Have the icing at room temperature and you might want to take it out of the can and put it in a bowl. Start with a drop or two of coloring. Mix that in thoroughly and if that's not enough color, add a drop or two more. Don't go crazy because then the icing will have that food coloring taste (I hate that).

Sure you can, just add a few drops at a time of the blue food coloring until it's the color you want. Be careful though because it doesn't take much coloring to make it change.

Sure. Just add a few drops and stir. If it's not dark enough, you can add a few more drops. However, you're not going to be able to make it dark blue or anything. You can't add that much food coloring to it. Good luck! :)

NO of course not. Food coloring is ONLY for food. LOL. you put a few drops in and mix it in. add more untill you get the desired shade of Blue.

of course! you can add food coloring to anything. be sure to add only a couple of drops at a time until you get the color you want. food coloring is heavily saturated so go easy and stir thoroughly.

yes you can but it will make the icing softer, if a lot of food coloring is added you might add some powdered sugar to thicken it back up

You sure can. Homemade icing is best though. haha. Add blue food coloring and stir away!

Start with two drops and mix then put more in depending on what color blue you want
