A good work of fiction. I don't believe that they follow the word that closely, but get a good simple message across.
It is one interpretation of a much discussed book of the bible.

From what I've seen so far, it's a B movie. Actually, I've seen two of them.
I really think that the expertise that it takes to make a drama about that subject hasn't been realized yet. I think that Kirk Cameron and some of the others are fine actors and actresses, it's just that the complexity of the subject demands an awful lot in order to be 'presentatble' to the general public. The budget would be astounding, for one.
I would also add that there seems to me to be a need of a narritive, in order to constantly connect scripture with the movie, perhaps an actor as John seeing the events unfold, while they unfold here in modern times. His voice can be used to segue between events to keep the audience informed.
The heavenly view would evolve into the human on earth view in order for the audience to adjust to where the order of events is commanded from.

Exploitive crap from one of the worst snake oil salesman ever to plague the community of faith. LaHayes books on "Christian Counseling" were right up there with beads and rattles, and when pastors began to actually get trained in pastoral counseling and he couldn't push that nonsense, LaHaye had to look around for another con game to run, and the "Apocalypse Anytime Now" is always a ready supply of fresh idiots.

Not having read the books, I can not comment on them. I can comment on the doctrine behind it, though. Prior to the 1800's, the church always expected to suffer through until the coming of the Lord. Since the scripture is clear that there are two comings of Christ, the doctrine of the pre-tribulation rapture serves to confuse matters immensely, and relies primarily on arguing from silence and scripture twisting. For more on this, please consider emailing me so we can discuss this in depth.

Loved it. The books really bring home some images from the Bible in ways that stay with you.
The Holy Spirit confirms in me that God is using this series in a powerful way. I hope everyone reads the whole series.

I've not seen any movies but I did , FINALLY, buy one of the books. I thought it was so poorly written as to what will really happen in the end times, that it made me sick. I couldn't even get past the first chapter.
I think the WHOLE book series is an example of false prophets, in the end times, just as predicted by the bible, NIV or KJV.

Haven't seen the movies, but I'm open-minded and curious enough to want to read at least the first book.

Movies are never as good as the book.
I prefer the books in this case, too.
At the time when they first came out...was wasn't walking with the Lord...and yes, it gave me a lot to think about.
I am happy to say that He (Jesus) now leads my path and I have never been better. I am truly blessed.
Peace be with you.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! The books are even better. It is a wonderful work of Bible based events and I believe that when it all happens, it will be a lot like that. Pretty scary huh? Not if you believe in our Lord!! Do you know where I can get the entire series??

I love it. I watch it every now and again! Kirk Cameron did a good job and so did the others. It's not like the books, but it would cool if they would make more movies LIKE the books! I believe how the story believed.
