Check with your insurance company to be 100% sure, but usually you have up to one year from the date of incident to file an insurance claim. WARNING: There may also be a requirement that you have to report the accident within a certain amount of time or you don't get paid, and that's separate from filing a claim -- that's just putting the insurance company on notice that you were in an accident. So if you didn't report the accident right away, you may have a bit of a problem. Call your insurance company ASAP.

I could have swore that a letter I got says I have 2 or 3 years, I don't remember.
