One problem. My husband has legal issues back in Ontario. He is fine if he does not go there but it is outstanding.Nothing major but it is becoming an inconvienence.Does anyone know if we can still travel? Are there certain countries we can still go to or am I left to spend my honeymoon in Canada?

I feel terrible for you on both counts. First ... your marriage began with legal issues and that can be a little MORE than stressful. Secondly .... having to potentially post-pone your honeymoon which probably saddens you.

I can assure you of one thing .... I have been married to my husband for almost 30 years and we never had a honeymoon. We have many other memories though ... and as long as you love each other ... a trip out of the country is not what will hold you together in the long run.

I suggest you deal with the legal issues first ... get them out of the way and well behind you and THEN you can travel to anywhere your hearts desire and truly relax and enjoy your time away.

Best wishes for long and happy marriage and hopefully the court system will expedite his case and come to a quick resolution. Good luck and hang in there ....

He will get picked up when leaving or returning, do you really want your husband in jail? Not the best way to spend your honeymoon. On that thread, why would any correct thinking woman marry a man who can't stay out of "legal" problems?

The Caribbean is grossly overrated, there are far better places to spend your vacation money.

It depends on what the issues were about .. some countries will prevent entry and others wont .. the Caribbean is made up of many islands and countries so they AL may be different ..
If what ever the issues were were dealt with your husband can apply for a pardon from the Gov in Ontario which will remove it from his record .. again it depends on what the crime or charges were related too ..

I don't understand. What does Ontario have to do with the Caribbean? If you have legal troubles, clear them up. If you don't want to clear them up, then do it when you get back. It's not like the mounties have an office in Jamaica or something.

It must be serious enough for you to bring the subject up. If he leaves the country, is he not allowed back in ? If so, have fun in Canada.

Can I come with? And to answer your question, it shouldn't be a problem, traveling I mean. Congrats on being newly wed!

Why not tend to them and clear them up so they don't haunt you the rest of your married life?
