Murders come from either people unable to articulate their anger, or other powerful emotion in nonviolent ways or from individuals with no moral or ethical compass.
Adulterers and Satanists come from their mothers ........ Oh, you mean the behavior!
There are many reasons that people commit adultery: frustration with their sex life at home, the fact that they don't feel the need to keep to their vows, and of course mind altering substances + opportunity.
Satanist? a matter of personal choice.
Hate? now hate is an emotion, the opposite of apathy. You have to care about something to hate it. It could be because a person somehow feels betrayed and can not deal with what they are feeling, it could be because of a perceived wrong done to a person, a chemical imbalance that impairs judgment, it could be a lot of factors.
Evil comes from within, we are all responsible for our own.

Fear.
Everything negative boils down to a fear of something.
Satanism by the way isn't an evil in the same sense as the others you listen.
Satansits dont worship the devil, or hate good people.
A "satan" is someone who ignores God. Not someone who doesn't believe in Him, someone who ignores him.
Satanists follow the devils example and ignore God, and in a way, worship themselves. They dont cause any bad effect on anyone, but they tick God off something rotten.
And the Devil isn't as responsible as you might think.
He doesn't make you do anything. But he does have the power of suggestion, which he uses while whispering over your left shoulder (hence throwing spilled salt that way).
He might put an idea or two into your head, but you're the one who makes your mind up to do it.
And if you believe in the Bible, its not the devil that teaches Adam and Eve right and wrong, its the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.

Evil is the same as it ever was, it comes from the free will choices we all personally make and the fallen nature that we inherited from our first parents, Adam and Eve.
Usually its based on greed or selfishness, seems to always run in those 2 particular categories, we are definitely on a testing ground.
p.s. Jesus has overcame Satan and death, that is our hope and our strength to continue on with life.

People who follow God will tell you the world is in sin, people have free will and are essencially selfish.
People who beleive in evolution may tell you that the ability to determine morality evolved over time.
People who are various other forms of spirtualists may tell you the as choices are made, we must pay for them, or that we inherit the consequence of our choice.
I'm certain there are dozens of reasons you will get for an answer.
My personal opinion is that the entire world is groaning under the weight of sin caused by the willful disobedience of mankind against the God of creation. The things you mentioned are not going away until the return of Jesus.

I'm gifted that way. God gave it to me to explain His word without profanity, thus a TRUE Christian!!!! All those bad things you listed are of satan and his demon followers! Good news is - I read the book aka bible and unbeknownst to those who claim it is a book where old people got together and told stories - I know the end. We (true Christians) live happily ever after in eternity and they do not. A lot of people want to blame God for evil doing, but He is a gentleman and will NOT force His goodness on anyone. It is THEIR decision aka own will that makes them do evil - NOT GOD!!! Thanks for letting me vent! God Bless!

Here I go with one of the most popular and dis-liked answers,,,,,,,,,,,,but it is because Satan is in control of the earth. If you study the bible , you will see that it states this..............not that God and Jesus aren't still doing things in secret.
Most people just can not comprehend the hatred and jealousy that Satan has for humans. The bible says that he is roaming the earth like a roaring lion seeking to devour what ever souls he can get a hold of. Then he laughs.

The real constitutional position of the living entity is that of subordination to the Supreme Lord, who is pure knowledge. Most what you would call "evil" is taught to humans in their childhood by abuse and neglect. Don't expect humans treated inhumanely as children to always act humanly in the future.
