It's been said that LaVeyan Satanist are basically just Humanists who can't let go of the pomp and circumstance of religious ritual. But that is a vague comparison. There are differences. Humanists reject the supernatural. And while it is technically possible to be both an atheist and a LaVeyan Satanist (because LaVeyan Satanist actually deny both God and Satan) most do not uniformly reject the supernatural altogether.
Now if you are talking about the brand of Satanism that actually worships a "diety" such as "Satan" or "Set" or some other fictional character, then there is no correlation between Humanism and Satanism.
Many Christians will say that Humanists are Satanists because they are taught that anyone who rejects God is in league with the Devil. These same Christians also think that Atheists are Satanists. But this is absolutely not true. Atheists (and both atheists and agnostics CAN be humanists) reject all God delusions.

Very much so. According to http://religioustolerance.org:
Humanism is a philosophy which in most cases embraces Agnosticism or Atheistic belief about the non-existence of a deity. But it goes further to create ethical systems based upon reason and logic. It regards humanity as the measure of all things. Humanists emphasize a belief in the importance of doing good in society.
"Satanist" is one who either:
1. Worships the Christian devil. Although the Christian Churches taught during the Renaissance that devil worshipers were very common, such individuals were in fact extremely rare, and remain so. The very few who do exist appear to be solitary practitioners; they do not appear to have formed an organization.
2. Accepts Satan as a pre-Christian life-principle concept worth emulating. These are religious Satanists, who follow a number of religious traditions, of which the largest by far is the Church of Satan.
Neither one should be confused with "somebody who doesn't believe every word that comes out of the Bible."

Oh boy, I'm not sure where you're getting your info from but yes they are completely different. Satanists are of either two options: they actually worship a being from the Judeo-Christian tradition called "Satan", or they are of the more philosophical strain of Satanism, which does not worship any deity at all, but emphasizes the power and authority of that individual Satanist--think of it as a radical Ayn Rand-ism. Two major precepts of Humanism are as follows: (1) Religious Humanism considers the complete realization of human personality to be the end of man's life and seeks its development and fulfillment in the here and now. This is the explanation of the humanist's social passion. (2) Humanism will: (a) affirm life rather than deny it; (b) seek to elicit the possibilities of life, not flee from them; and (c) endeavor to establish the conditions of a satisfactory life for all, not merely for the few.
Hence, Humanism differs from both forms of Satanism--it worships no deity (Satan), and focuses on the welfare of all, not just one.
Certain Christians label any person that holds beliefs different from their own as "Satanic", which I"m assuming is where your question comes from. For further information on why this is invalid, feel free to check out the following from the Ontario Consultants on Religous Tolerance, particuarly the section on "Mistaken beliefs about Satanists by non-Satanists": http://www.religioustolerance.org/satanism.htm

Quite a bit. Humanism kinda says that the measure of all things is man. Humanism doesn't require belief in god or Satan. (isn't it interesting that Yahoo says "god" is not a mis-spelling but "satan" is mis-spelled and should be capitalized. Weird.) Satanism and Chistism require belief in each other or neither is relevant to anything. No Satan, no fear, no hell, no eternal punishment, no need for salvation from something that doesn't exist. Christism needs Satan and belief in Satanism. Doesn't that make believers in Satan, Satanists and Christians are Satanists.

Not sure. I've never had to ask myself that question. What I do know is that satanism isn't what christians want to think it is. You can't worship something or someone that you don't believe in. Maybe you should research both and make an educated guess from there instead of wanting someone else's ideas about it cloud your own judgement on that subject.

Yes, humanism is a non-theist philosophy, Satanism is a religion that worships Satan. Humanists do not worship Satan.

Yes, Satanism is simply knowing what Satan offers and accepting your fate in Hell, while helping his kingdom and living your life the best way getting what you want. Humanism, refers to Mankind as god and that you should serve only yourself and the betterment of your kind, humanism spawned more racist and pride of race type deals.. But Humanism believes there is not God or Satan, whereas Satanism accepts that he believes he is god and that you will go to Hell, both of which Humanist deny. (along with atheist)

A Humanist is one that cares about the uplifting of the human soul and society in general, such as Gandhi. A Satanist cares only about his own selfish goals, like Dick Cheney.

I'm not sure what humanism is. I would guess the nature of being a humanitarian.
Satanism on the other hand is the practice of worshipping a fallen angel called Lucifer.
Conclusion: Yes

One is the worship of the Devil and the other is the taking from those that have, and give to those who have not and want it all. The Humanist Movement wants one world government, even though we all don't get along now, bet that would be a real winner.
Simply put, the Humanist movement would take the riches from the countries who have and give it to the ones who don't, and could care less about your national pride.
