There is no consecrated wine, the Blood of Christ, after Mass is over.

All of it is consumed.

With love in Christ.

After the wine has been consecrated and become the Blood of Christ, it must be drunk by the priest and/or the Eucharistic ministers. Unlike the Host, the wine is perishable and must be consumed.

The Host (bread that has been consecrated and is now the Body of Christ) can be reserved and is placed back in the Tabernacle.

IF any of the consecrated wine is left after Eucharist, the priest or the Eucharistic Minister finishes it off.

In our church, the amount that is usually left would hardly wet your lips. Most times, we run out.

Seriously, the priest drinks it. It is the blood of Christ you know, you cannot just wipe it up with a bar rag.

I have heard they don't even give the wine to the people. He drinks it all by himself in front of them and the folk just got the dry oblates. Clever!
Edit: it is true! Only protestants get to drink the wine, catholics are not allowed.
