are you all aware that there are people who die for their faith to this day?
We just received the sad news this morning that 3 people were killed in Turkey. They were attacked where they work.

(I know you all do - there are many examples - I just needed to word this as a question.)

If you are so moved, lets say a prayer today - or good thoughts, or whichever faith or belief you possess, for the families and persons who are working hard to make the world a better place today. Our soldiers, our peacekeepers, our missionaries, our charitable workers, and especially for the families of those who have died.

blessings to all :)

Yes, i am.

I knew the late Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who authored, among many others, the book.."Tortured for Christ"

I will certainly say a prayer for them and their families.

Christans have been dying for their faith for centuries. Check out The Voice of the Martyrs...I believe it is online. You can google it.
We need to be in prayer each and every day, for each and every day some special person dies or is tormented because of his/her Christianity. God bless those brave souls.
Yes, I think we needed this reminder, and I am very grateful to you for posting it. Thank you.

Have you considered that, unless we, here, in the United States, who have been God's spoiled children for so long, begin to fight to stop the erosion of our rights under US law, our children and grandchildren may also be among the martyrs?
Think about it.
And pray.

Yes many Tibetan Buddhist monks have died at the hands of Chinese soldiers, in captivity or trying to flee Tibet, and it's still going on. It happens everywhere.

Thanks for the reminder. I will continue to pray for the safety of those on the "front lines" working to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. And also for those who are doing the killing and persecution, that they will see the Love in the eyes of those they persecute and will soften their hearts to the Love of Christ.

Yes, I know that. It happens because people are nuts. No, I don't pray. I don't believe in any god. Prayer is useless. Now... actually DOING something that matters... thats something different.

I am moved everyday. It's how you perceive your day. I will pray my own way, without ridicule and humiliation, Thank-you for caring for others though! :-)

Jesus hasn't asked us to kill for him. But I think he wants us to be willing to die for him.
