Family daycare in california ranges from $80-$120 a week. There're about 6 kids per a licensed daycare provider. If you want someone to come to your house and care for your child, it can be as high as $250 a week or more for English speaking and legal residence, or $150 a week for non-English speaking and illegal immigrant.

If you want a person who is trained in childcare, has her first aid / CPR - also if you want to do a background check (aslo a good idea in this day and age) you're going to be paying a lot - infant care is very expensive as they need constant supervison (not saying that the other ages don't but it's different for babies) If it were me for baby care i would charge upwards of $250 a week if not more. I got $200 weekly when i was babysitting a 22month old (which i admit was way too little as my hours were relatively long and the child didn't nap very long) My $200 figure i quoted was in canadian funds and it was 13 years ago - so by now the fee would be a lot higher. (good luck)

I was a former career nanny (Professional) and charged $15/hour for two kids. I also nannied for another family for $12/hr for one child. I will be a parent come December, and I will be willing to charge up to 12/hr for my little one if I decide to take the nanny rout (otherwise I will be a stay at home mom). If this person is a good friend of yours and doesn't mind doing it, I think $10-$8/hr is reasonable. I hope she's not living off this income alone. $180 to $240 per week is not enough to surive.

If you are looking for a teenager to babysit a newborn, the going rate is about $6 or $7 per hour. Be sure to check references and if they are certified in CPR. If you are looking for a daycare provider, you will probably pay closer to $175 per week.

I'm in Georgia, so the prices are probably completely different, but it's about $100- $150 a week for a baby here.
Good luck!!!

Normally costs range between $3 to $6 dollars and hour, depending mainly on your area you live, and of course how many children will need to be tended to.

I live in Florida and from my knowledge here, it is usually between $115.00 to around $140.00 for an infant if you go through a daycare provider.

I am guessing prices are going to be similar everywhere.

I'm in Canada so don't really know if this will help ... but here the average is $5.00/hr plus 1.00 for each additional child, depending on age.
