Through my bible studies and understanding of God. God loves all. God said love thy neighbor. God loves anybody and everybody. God said love each other and don't fight.

Yet, you see these churches....religious folks...politicians that don't approve of gays/lesbians. Why do they care so much? Why don't they listen to God? Love thy neighbor. Them being gay has nothing to do with anyone else. It does not affect your lives for those who are not.

so why are some churches are against gays?

Be logical. Be Christian...if not that's ok too. But be fair and love everybody around you.

do u not remember that men wrote the bible? those men probably hate gays because they are ignorant. Just like you. You guys keep referring to those same words in the bible but never refer back to the words in the commandments. It's written there. VERY CLEAR.

Just make sure you understand that God loves the individual, however, their behavior and life choice will lead them into bondage that will harden their hearts to God's eternal salvation. Because Homosexuality involves so much emotional investment, it is almost impossible to tell the them the truth without being labeled with very harsh epithets.

Remember, the sin of homosexuality is no blacker than my sin. And if the Christian truly hated homosexuals, they would keep the message of salvation to themselves, not try to change them, and let them go on their merry way to destruction. But because we care, we take the slings and arrows of 90% of the media and public to speak the truth. Hopefully with love and salt.

The Bible states that homosexuality is behavioral, for Paul states that many of the new believers had been delivered from homosexuality in

1 Corinthians 6:9-11,

Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God. And SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

If it were a genetic thing, then the Bible would not have shown that some were delivered. Your argument is with the Bible. If you do not believe the Bible, then your concern is moot. If you believe the Bible is the Word of God, then it states that you can be born again, transformed by the renewing of your mind, washed and cleansed.

Purely objective perspective:

Sin is “any want of conformity unto or transgression of the law of God” (1Jo_3:4; Rom_4:15), in the inward state and habit of the soul, as well as in the outward conduct of the life, whether by omission or commission (Rom_6:12-17; Rom_7:5-24). Sin is not a mere violation of the law of our constitution, nor of the system of things, but an offense against a personal lawgiver and moral governor who vindicates his law with penalties.

Since God, speaking through the inspired prophets authoring the books of the bible, declared homosexuality a sin, then it is a sin.
See: Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9,10; 1 Timothy 1:10.

Thus, homosexuality is just one of a litany of the decay of the perfect moral state found in original creation.

As all sinners, homosexuals can be true Christians. As far as God views sin, homosexuality is no greater or lesser than other sins. All sin is objectionable to God. Since homosexuality is often practiced openly ("in your face"), the reaction by some who have wandered off the “love thy neighbor” reservation is over the top. It may also be the case that anyone that seems to revel in their sin seems defiant or disingenuous, if they are a self-professed Christian. I believe that the true Christian homosexual struggles daily with their sinful nature.

Happiness to Christians is more than the needs of the flesh. Homosexuals must continue to pray for strength to resist their urges and strive to be obedient to the scriptures.

I am a Christian and I agree with you---the Bible has far more verses about loving thy neighbor and about not judging others than about the "evils of homosexuality."

The verses that do speak of homosexuality are taken out of context and have become the focus of the "ministry" of so many so-called Christians. The Bible also speaks of the sin of divorce, but many in the church are divorced. No one is without sin.

It is sad that the focus of Christianity is supposed to be about loving Christ and showing his love to others. Something tells me that Jesus, who hung out with the "tax collectors and sinners," would reach out to all without judgment. Why then do Christians who are called to reflect Christ stoop to judge others and to turn them away from his love?

God is angry at sinners all the day long the Bible says. He is angry at the homosexual, the liar, and the thief all the same. Homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible. We are told to love our neighbor. The best way we can love them is to tell them the truth. That God will judge every one according to their works, and that without Christ, they are destined for Hell. That is the loving thing to do.

That's true but there is scripture that says men shall not be with other men, this being the reason for not supporting the gay community in their fight I admit I do have gay friends but I love the person for who they are and not the sin they are in, it is their choice to make but I and other Christians don't have to accept the sin just the person! And to be supportive until they "choose" to change their lives to Honor Christ

You say you read your Bible......

Do you 8understand what you read?

Try 1st Corinthains 6:9
It doesn't get any plainer than that
homosexuality is a sin

You , I or anyone else cannot change that. God says it's a sin, so it's a sin

That doesn't mean that God......or Christians for tha matter hate homosexuals. We would for everyone who is willing to come to Christ, but we can't force them to do so.

Tha lifestyle is against what God would have for us........read it for yourself since you are a Bible reader.

They are gay by choice, no gay gene, just choice.
This can change is they choose to change it

Jesus did no longer might desire to talk of one in all those component. It grew to become into of course understood that one and all gay human beings are given over for destruction, as reported interior the previous testomony. So why might Christ handle that which would be complete. the sorrowful actuality is it extremely is someone is reformed and actually repentant ( meaning they have grew to become from there existence form and have grew to become to Christ) , then they certainly might have pass away that way of existence. Or it is purely warm air. and an excellent form of think of they might proceed to be as they're and recieved the present of salvation. Salvation demands a metamorphosis of heart and understand-how. some are stored who turn from there sin, yet many are lost.

It's one thing to love another person, and another thing to accept their beliefs and practices. God loves gays, but that does not mean he is OK with them being gay. Homosexuality is a sin. God understands that we will all sin and he hates sin, but he loves us and wishes we would not sin.
