He is sullying his whole family's name by hating everyone else. But when you think about it, this 1 man is bringing a whole bunch of races, religions, sexual orientations, etc together to love one another. Fred's hate towards everyone makes everyone hate him and love everyone else. Do you think he is actually doing what he does to make us respect each other? Can you kinda see what I mean? Can you kinda agree with me?

I agree with you. One good example was here in Chicago when people from his church were protesting at the funeral of a soldier killed in Iraq. A now famous group of Bikers whose club name I cannot remember for the life of me, put up a barrier between the Phelps crew and the family of the departed. There was a large wall of Harley's and American flags blocking out the "GOD HATES FAGS" signs and hateful faces. Chicago is generally pretty liberal and against the war in Iraq, but the outrage of the protest at a fallen soldiers funeral was enough to bring the liberal groups apposed to the war to be grateful for those bikers and to see that fallen soldier as a good person in life. In a way it is true that Phelps is finding a way to bring America together.

Fred Phelps gives real Christians a bad name.

So you think his hating on people is making people of different religions come together? That's worse yet! Can two walk together except they be agreed?

I'm against a one-world religion BTW. So Phelps is a tool for this, huh?

That's usually the way of it when people are confronted by such extreme hatred as Fred Phelps spews. They tend to band together to work against someone who is capable of causing such hurt and harm.

I don't think Phelps is a great man, any more than I think Hitler was. But even he can be made to serve God's purpose. . .albeit in exactly the opposite way that he intended. Instead of succeeding in driving a wedge between people and separating them, he's actually brought them together.

I don’t think this is his purpose. I’ve seen members of his family on TV and there is way too much anger. These people are consumed with hate.

But yes, this could be an unintended consequence. People from many different viewpoints are united in disgust for these people.

Just look at the things that crawl out of that church, like that woman! Would you want that thing as a wife? How would you like that woman to be your mother?

I am being awful right now, but . . . . man oh man!

a great man? not even close, probably opposite. He will be judged by the same standards that he judges others. I wouldn't want to stand where he is standing on judgement day.

Yes, in Superman's Bizzaro World, it makes imperfect sense!

No, I don't agree that he's doing it to bring anyone together, etc. He and his whole clan are insane and infested with hate, and that's all there is to it - at least, that's my opinion.

Do you think the terrorists are great men, since they have brought people together too?
