(teens) I read just about everything E.R.Burroughs wrote, you know Tarzan, John Carter of Mars. It had an effect on me. There was nothing Tarzan wouldn't do to protect and keep Jane. That guy even broke a lions back that was after Jane, with his bare hands! When Jane was rescued from Africa she went all the way back to England, maybe it was America? Does that stop Tarzan from getting her back? Hell No, he goes all the way to England or America to reclaim his mate. (And they hadn't even had sex yet!) He didn't even know where England or the U.S.A. was. That really got to me. I'm all grown up now. But I still retain that romantic notion instilled in me from reading those books. The idea that a woman is special and LOVE between a man & woman should be an unbreakable bond. Tarzan and Jane had the kind of Love. Is this stupid to feel this way? Is it wrong to want to go out on a limb for her, to respect her, even whorship her. Should I not want to give her the last bite of my only bannana?

Sadly it's a pretty immature view of love. Though it is often that way in the start of a relationship after awhile things settle down and though a couple should present a united front to the world and be willing to fight each others foes they should not be putting obstacles in each others way that cause their mate to loose focus on their own life path. The best couples part for several hours a day and then come back together full of stories of interesting happenings and coming events. Joy in each others company may fade a bit but it is replace by comfort and security a finding of safe harbor. Salvation comes from a root word meaning home coming. A couple should strive to be each other's salvation in life.

Unconditional love is not wrong. That is real love. Love is the giving of oneself for the betterment of the other person. Love is unconditional, unbreakable and unwavering-if it is true love.
There are always rough spots in relationships, but if two people keep their communication throughout the relationship, and dont build walls between them, then the relationship can flourish.Love is about trust.
I think that Tarzan and Jane trusted each other which is why they had the unbreakable bond.

I hope this answers your question.

Fiction multiplied by reality = undefined. Recompute this operation. Still undefined. Massive headache. Reality check. Back to the drawing board.
