ofcourse manny pacquiao will win!!!

the match isn't a fair match to bruce lee anyway, he's not a boxer he's a fighter, this match you're making is a one sided match.

it's like asking shaquille o'neal to play chess with gary kasparov or play baseball with sammy sosa.

Everyone's on the Manny Pacquiao bandwagon. It's making me sick. You will soon see Pacquiao loose. Anyways, Bruce Lee has such a upper hand since he has studied so many aspects of self defense. Punching and blocking are the same whether it's Wing Chun or western style boxing. Plus Bruce Lee was so much more conditioned than Manny Pacquiao will ever be. I'm not a Bruce Lee fan but like many others before me, I will give credit where credit is due. To the unexperienced below. Pacquiao is not very technical. All he has is the 1-2.

Bruce Lee has reached mythical status among martial artists, and in truth I belive him to be one of the greatest martial artists in humanitie's history, but get real Bruce was also a filim producer and actor. It's all opinion and speculation, but Manny is still considered by most to be human not myth. It is tough for a human being to fight a myth.

Still for the sake of argument your answer is that Bruce wasn't a professional boxer in the strictest sense of the word and Manny is, so it would be difficult to make an accurate choice, logically Manny should beat Bruce. Who would hit more home runs Barry Bonds or Bruce Lee? Who would be a better golfer Tiger Woods or Bruce Lee? Who was a better film maker Quenton Tarintino or Bruce Lee. Who was a better dancer Lalia Ali or Bruce lee. Who was the better butcher, baker and candlestick maker, the pro or Bruce? The line blurs because Bruce was a superior human being.

In a street fight or a board breaking contest, Bruce would beat Manny, but Manny makes his living boxing, and Bruce had other distractions. Bruce could still probably have KOed Manny just as easily as Manny could KO him, but placing restrictictions on Bruce to even the field for a puncher the quality of Pacquiao is kind of like stacking the deck in Manny's favor.

Who would win in a full contact mixed martial arts match Manny Pacquiao or Bruce Lee, only Manny isn't allowed to throw hooks or uppercuts?

Bruce was a superior man compared to most, leave it at that.

Bruce Lee wasn't a boxer although he understood the sport. Bruc Lee would get utterly destroyed in a boxing match with Manny. It is a competely different game. Boxing required years training in the sport to learn the particular defense and punching techniques.

Pac-Man would win do to experience and toughness. The Dragon hasn't fought in the ring (except on demonstrations) and does not no what real pain feels like. It takes many years and many fights to become a great boxer, not many movies......(I have mad respect for Bruce Lee. Probably Pacquiao picked up a lot of pointers from his (Lee) books and videos).

Man some of you guys don't know ****! Do you still believe in the Boogie Man? Do you think Van Damme or Jackie Chan would beat any MMA fighters as well? LOl you guys are ridiculous. What did Lee ever prove? He was a great innovator and a pioneer for MMA, but if you watch him spar or any actual footage of him(not choreographed movies) then you know he wasn't as impressive as he has been made out to be by common myth. Lee was a fighter who used much more than just boxing in his arsenal. As a pure boxer, he was nothing special at all, and would get destroyed by Pac.

Bruce Lee's primary martial art is 'Wing Chun' which he started learning at the age of four. 'Wing Chun' is a defensive/counter attack martial art within which the fundamentals are close quarters blocking with the arms and lower legs while learning your opponents habits so that you can counter attack at the perfect time.
When creating 'Jeet Kune Do' Bruce Lee focused on the blocking/counter attack capabilities of 'Wing Chun' and the circular, free, attacking style of boxing. These were the basics of 'Jeet Kune Do' and formed two thirds of the style along with a third of all other styles.
Due to the fact that Bruce was therefore well versed in high speed defence, counter attacking and boxing plus the fact that he could move faster than any one fighter I've seen, I have to give my vote to him. Manny Pacquiao is a very talented boxer but Bruce has a much more rounded toolbox than him.

Verdict: Bruce Lee to win by KO.

NEW COMMENT:

I have had to write a new comment due to the amount of times that people have said that Bruce Lee has no fighting experience and is just a movie fighter.
In the slums of China in the 1950's and 1960's a lot of young men fought on top of rooftops, these fights were so gruesome they were made illegal and there were police units designated to stopping these bareknuckle fights.
Bruce Lee was one figher that competed in these events and on one occasion he very nearly was knocked out and killed, but his trainer pulled him up and forced him to fight on.
Bruce ended up winning. He may not have competed in televised fights but he has had hundreds of illegal organised fights and hundreds of legal ring fights before he became a movie star.
So you cannot argue that he isn't experienced in organised fights.

well manny has been boxing for quite sometime already and he has proven to be one of the best at it ,whereas bruce lee doesnt have that much experience fighting in real boxing matches so i guess manny would still come out on top,and to octavioa, i know why you feel sick of manny, the answer is pretty simple he always beats up on your fighters from mexico and its pretty hard to accept that this fighter who beats up on your fighters is getting to be so popular, its hard to accept realty
