African schools are studying up on massacres and Gang Rapes on a massive scale. The earliest we can find is that which was used against us by clergy and missionaries. In the Bible, Jehovah god, commands Jewish boys to Gang Rape 32,000 baby virgin girls, after stealing the land from the people. When was Numbers written? Is this the earliest date in literature that we can find of Gang Rapes? This text was used by European clergy and missionaries to Gang Rape the native people and started before Slavery. The missionaries would hold the Bible in one hand, while doing their rapes, claiming they were doing so by the order of Jehovah. They were never punished for it just like those Jewish boys who did the rapes in Numbers. It is important to find out the origin of such terrorism.

This is despicable slander and blasphemy against God !

The lying accusation is shameful, and in fact disagrees with the bible and godly principles of the time. Rape was never even tolerated, much less encouraged.

Israelite soldiers were allowed to marry captives, but had to treat them with the same rights and respect due to a natural-born Israelite wife.
(Deuteronomy 21:10-13) In case you go out to the battle against your enemies and Jehovah your God has given them into your hand and you have carried them away captive; 11 and you have seen among the captives a woman beautiful in form, and you have got attached to her and taken her for your wife, 12 you must then bring her into the midst of your house. She must now shave her head and attend to her nails [for hygienic reasons], 13 and remove the mantle of her captivity from off her and dwell in your house and weep for her father and her mother a whole lunar month; and after that you should have relations with her ["your wife"], and you must take possession of her as your bride, and she must become your wife.

Whoever is giving you the interpretation of Numbers 31:35 as gang rape is NOT an educated Bible scholar, nor is he/she in the Spirit of God. there is an assumption being made here that these 32,000 virgins were raped or used as sex slaves. i say assumption because nowhere does it state that either occurred. In the Middle East women are considered property, then and now. In war of ancient times, women were considered part of the spoils of war. This is not gang rape or slavery. You are being seriously misled and it sounds like someone is taking scripture out of context for political purposes, taking history and turning it into a racist tool to incite trouble. Be careful who you listen to----there are many people out there who are trying to stir up revolution.

Since others have answered this Q w/ clarity, ur misunderstanding.
I'll move on to ur Q......"When was Numbers written?"
It's the 4th book of the Bible.
Written by: Moses.
Place written: Wilderness & Plains of Moab
Writing completed:1473 B.C.E.
Time covered: 1512-1473 B.C.E.

B-T-W..European clergy never used God's personal name, still don't. Not in their worship n/eways.
But, 'ain't it something' that 'u do use it' & attach it to such atrocities.
U leave off w/ "It is important to find out the origin of such terrorism", then DO THAT.
Find out the origin of such slanderous, remarks BEFORE
u Assume and attach such artocitites to the Holy name, of our Divine Creator.
Thank You.

"32-35 The rest of the plunder taken by the army:
675,000 sheep
72,000 cattle
61,000 donkeys
32,000 women who were virgins." (The Message)

Doesn't say anything about rape at all. As for the clergy you mention, might it be possible that they misused the text rather than just used it?
I'm not even going to get into the subject of when it was written since it would take several pages to fully explore that controversy.

Please tell me where this premise comes from? There are no references to this in any text regarding the settlement of America because, it just ain't so! I am not saying that native American women were not raped, just like any other group of women have been raped throughout the history of mankind. I have never heard or read of anything that indicated that any such rapes occurred because of what is written in the Bible. In the history of mankind, "to the victors, go the spoils". This means whatever is of value left in the land that is conquered is given to the winner of the war. Women in history have not held much value by males except as servants or slaves. Women in the USA did not have the same rights as men until the early 1930's with the suffragette movement and we are still fighting for equality today. Sounds to me like you think Chirstians are rapists with God's okay!!! You scare me!

" The LORD said to Moses, "You and Eleazar the priest and the family heads of the community are to count all the people and animals that were captured. Divide the spoils between the soldiers who took part in the battle and the rest of the community. From the soldiers who fought in the battle, set apart as tribute for the LORD one out of every five hundred, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep or goats. Take this tribute from their half share and give it to Eleazar the priest as the LORD's part. From the Israelites' half, select one out of every fifty, whether persons, cattle, donkeys, sheep, goats or other animals. Give them to the Levites, who are responsible for the care of the LORD's tabernacle." So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
The plunder remaining from the spoils that the soldiers took was
675,000 sheep,
72,000 cattle,
61,000 donkeys and
32,000 women who had never slept with a man. " Numbers 31:25-31:35 NIV

Based on your translation, they also raped sheep, cattle and donkeys. I think not. They TOOK in the literal translation of the word, "to seize or capture: to take an enemy town; to take a prisoner"

The first mention of such behavior that I know of comes from the Book of Genesis where the men of Sodom wanted to have their pleasure with the angels that visited Lot. Lot offered his virgin daughters to the mob but the mob wanted the strangers. The angels pulled Lot back inside and blinded the mob. Then they told Lot to get his family out of the city because the city would be destroyed.
Other references to mass sexual activity is never in a positive light. God does not condone such activity and never commanded His people to behave in that way. There are references to the people of Israel behaving badly and they are always condemned for it. I recall one servant girl that was repeatedly raped throughout the night and left for dead on her master's doorstep. She died the next day and her death was published throughout Israel, resulting in the destruction of much of the tribe of Benjamin, whose men were guilty of the deed.
You need to study your scriptures more carefully.

numbers 31 35 does not say anything about jewish boys having sex with ''baby virgin girls'' so stop trying to twist the text to fit your macabre lifestyle. it states all of the items found after conquering a the city and the verse states that 32000 virgins were found, but there is not a mention of the men having sex with them, much less a command by God to rape them.

They were listing the division of the spoils of the war, including counting virgins, not gang raping them...
