Your family sounds like mine. I can't go back farther than great grandparents. We don't seem to care where we came from or why we got here.

I can get back to the late 1690's on oth the Irish and Scottish side. The Italian and Bohemian side only about 120 years.
If there are any Currys or Boyds out there, we may be related

I'm in UK and have gone back to 1650 on my father's side (his mother's) - and found that his family were living only about 3 miles from where I am now!

On my dads side 6 generations back to sicily and on my moms side somewhere back to John Knox founder of the protestant church of Scotland. For record from europe check with the mormon church as they research ancestors and pohumously convert them to the LDS.

I have traced my paternal family all the way back to 1505 in England. So that would be 502 years back. It is possible for you to do as well.

on my mom's side i can only go back to great grandparents...but on my dad's side, my uncle paid someone to trace the family back....our last name is demoranville....the earliest one he found came from canada and married a grandaughter of a pilgrim.....(i am not proud of that) i think the pilgrims were horrible and it bothers me to be connected.
