I would see another doctor. Especially with a cat bite, which are puncture wounds, chances of infection are high. The bite can be quite deep, animal mouths (just like human mouths) are filled with bacteria. Because it's a deep puncture wound with a relatively small hole in the skin, the skin will heal quickly which only seals the bacteria within your body. It might have abscessed.

Do not wait another week to see the doc, get to the doctor it could be what is called Cat Scratch Fever, some people are very allergic to cat scratches & bites, if that is the case for you, you should not have a cat !! It could also be something else, but from what you are saying, you need to see a DOC as soon as possible !!

If the wound healed, and you are not running a fever of 101+, then you are probably "over" the cat bite.
There might be some OTHER problem going on, though. It sounds like you can wait to see your doctor, next week, about the new problems, but if it gets severely worse, then you should try to see him (Doc) sooner.

I'd go back to the doctor today. What you are describing is not normal. And the cat bite may be a red herring. Something else may be happening and the cat bite is just coincidence. Or you may be reacting to something in cat saliva. It is the saliva that people are allergic to.

Go back to your dr. when I got a cat bite my dr. gave me strong antibiotics right away with a print out from the mayo clinic on cat bites. They can really be dangerous I'd be really angry with your doctor for not taking it seriously. look it up yourself on the net. Go back and demand a strong antibiotic.

go straight to a doctor now, may have infection to your bones, we are talking about a chronic infection in your bones, hurry and get a x-ray, i hope you get better. to clear a infection in the bones (osteomyelitis) takes about 6-8 weeks antibiotics

i think i would go to a different dr. or the emergency room. if you are still being affected by it and its causing more pain then at first there could be something that needs taken care of
