more info please........What makes you think there is more than one of you.....your symptoms.
Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) diagnosis contains varying degrees of dissociation, including Multiple Personality Disorder(MPD as it was formerly named).
True DID/MPD where you are operating with two or more personalities is a fairly rare diagnosis, but it does exist out there. Self discovery of your symptoms with the assistance of a psychologist specializing in DID is really the best way to be diagnosed.
Of all disorders out there - this is the ONLY ONE of which you CAN BE CURED. I have seen it.
Those who have this disorder have had it since they were a child - it is a product of trauma - in order to survive mentally and emotionally - new personalities are formed to block the trauma from your mind. Each personality has its own memories (good and bad), and each performs its own jobs. One may play the piano, and yet another can do your math but not play a note on the piano, for example. The mind of a MPD person works as if it were sections of an orange - needing to change from one section to another to access memories and skills in order to perform.
Beware of which therapist and psychiatrist you choose to work with. There are some out there who do not believe this truly exists.

First off, if you think you have "split personalities", consult your primary MD, they can refer you to a psychiatrist. Also, "split personalities", is not so much used anymore, Schizophrenia is. In order to answer this question, it would be helpful to know some of your "symptoms:. Schizophrenia "symptoms" can include impaired ability to distinguish between real and unreal perceptions, confused behavior and severe behavioral changes, hallucinations, , Delusional thoughts and paranoia, suicidal behavior, even violene behavior, that kind of thing. I would seek help immediatly, if any of these things pertain to you.

Dissociative Identity Didorder (aka multiple personality disorder) is extremely rare, and often the person suffering from it is not aware that they have the disorder. It is a coping strategy for people to dissociate from painful feelings, memories and aspects of life, therefore they have little awareness of it (otherwise it wouldn't work...how do you dissociate from something that you are consciously aware of?). It is usually a response to trauma. It's a disorder that the media loves to play with, but like I said, it's extremely rare. If you are having some identity issues, I suggest you speak with a therapist.

If you think you have multiple personality disorder, you need to seek the help of a psychiatrist (not counselor, not psychologist; neither can prescribe the meds you will need) FAST.
No one here can help or diagnose you.
