My boyfriend is amazing. Everything would be perfect except for one thing he is joining the military. I'm still in high school so i don't know if we should call it off...

If you feel that you are not mature enough to handle the struggles of a long distance relationship, the uncertain outcome of his new lifestyle and the lonely days and nights of extended separation your choices are limited. You need to be honest enough to say that though you wish him all the best you are not prepared for the changes he is making in his life.
In the long run he will respect your choice though he may be very sad to loose you for the time being it would be a very mature choice. Freeing you both to guilt free explore the opportunities that arise. Allowing you to remain friends you can write each other long chatty letters where in he tells you about the trials of becoming a military man and you keep him on top of what is happening with your circle of friends.
Many life long friendships happen that way. Good luck no matter what you decide and a heart felt thank you to your boyfriend for his dedication to country.

If you want to break off with a great guy its up to you.
Nothing is ever perfect, so the fact that you are thinking about breaking up because of distance, or it may be too difficult to stay in touch. Whatever, doubts are doubts. Talk it over with your bfriend maybe you can come to a mutual agreement.
Sounds to me like you don't want to miss out just because he will be away for a while.

joining the military is not the end of his life, if u really love him, dont break up with him.

u could try to convince him not to go but thats his decision not yours u could also just wait n see how stuff go while hes in the military n if u aren't liking how things r going them just break it off its better for u

Love cant exist over miles. You have to see each other and going away from your partener isnt good unles its like a short holiday arranged but you are sure they will come back. Seems like it isnt meant to be, sorry love!

hey after he is gone you will know.absence makes the heart grow fonder or apart..only time will tell.but if you have doubts and he hasnt even left yet i doubt it will work,it can only work if you both want it to
