Yeah, that's gonna be a hard sell. I'm guessing only people with extremely low credit scores would even consider it since they have a hard time getting anything less than 29% interest. Otherwise, the card better be offering something else--a high number of frequent flyer miles or something. Otherwise, there are way too many cards out there offering 0% interest for a year, etc., to bother applying for ones that already almost 24%.

Hi! This is ______ from ______ credit cards. I see that you recently applied for a credit card. At this time I am able to offer you _________ with a starting credit limit of ______.
Now because of your credit score, your APR will be 26%, but at this time I am able to offer you a special rate of 23.9%
welcome to the sales business, it is a rough ride, but well worth the $$$$

No in case you pay it off in complete on the tip of your cycle, you don't get charged a APR. together as 19% isn't the suited, it is the going cost presently for human beings with much less the perfect credit.

If there were no upside then I doubt you would sell very many but if there are upsides to the card then I would definitely push them then only briefly mention the 23.9 and hope that your customer is almost bankrupt. Or deaf, blind and rich.

Call college kids and sell them on the fact that it's THEIR card, so they don't have to explain their purchases to their parents. Push the 'financial freedom' aspect and tell them that that kind of APR is normal for 'first time card owners'.

People with bad credit that have been turned down other places will sign up in a heartbeat so they can start re-establishing their credit.
