I think you should buy a cute frame and put a picture of you and the bridesmaid in it.
P.S. (I hope your bridesmaids didn't just accept the chance to be in your wedding because they thought they were going to get an expensive gift)

Well, we need a definition of how much money you don't have, and how many bridesmaids you have.
Some thoughtful gifts would be:
perfume, shower gels/lotions/gift baskets (like from Bath and Body works), charm bracelet, earrings/necklace to wear with their dresses for the wedding, manicures for the wedding, photo of you and your friend in a nice frame.
Use your imagination, and I'm sure you'll find something that will be lovely, and your friends will appreciate. You just need to show your appreciation to your friends for helping you out, that's all this is. It's not a $100 gift giving bonanza, it's just a simple show of appreciation and thanks from you to them.

don't worry about the money, if you need ideas or you want to buy something for your bridemaids, then be creative. For instance, you could go to Micheal's and do craft. You could go and get a picture frame, decorative and put a picture of you and the bridemaid. You could also invite each one out for dinner or lunch and thank then personally. I am going to give anything to my bridemaid becuase of the money, what I am going to do is tell her that i really appreciate her job and make something for her that she like. She likes rainbows and her room is diffrent color. I am going to buy a pillow which cost $5 the most and then decorative with markers and glitter that i have at home.

try making the gifts. you could make jewelery pretty easy and cheap or go to the dollar store and pick up some cheap but cute frames and put pics of you and the bridesmaid in it or better yet print out a quote from the computer on cute paper (that fits the bridemaids personality) then put it in the frame.
or write them each a personalized letter or poem and frame it.
these are all really inexpensive and cute.

My wedding is coming up soon (May 2007) and I am going to make up a small basket with lotions, body sprays, and body wash for my bridemaids. If you have a Dollar Tree go there. That is where I am going to go and do my basket.
