The best thing to do is mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray down the carpets and upholstered seats. use a damp rag to wipe the solution in. using scented smells only mask the sent for a while, they don't solve the solution. good luck to you.

Some dark night get an extension cord and a black light and shine it in your car. This will show you where the cat peed. Then use an enzymatic cleaner such as Simple Solution and follow the directions on the package. This should "remove" the stain and smell. If kitty has used a place where you can't effectively wash, you can just pour a little of the cleaner on it. This stuff has a pleasant smell and won't linger very long. Just using some sort of air freshener won't take care of the problem, so that's why you need to find out where it is.

If you have a lot of money you could forget about all this work and take your car to have it detailed. This is expensive, but it will also work.

Best advice to prevent the problem, is to roll up the windows!

First off....LOL!

Sorry about that but that is hillarious.

If you find the smell is on a seat and can't seem to get rid of the smell, you can actually take the seat out of your car and take it into your garage (or somewhere) and really get down to business in cleaning it. It might be a real pain to try and clean the seat when it's in the car.

If the cat peed on the floor, that will be easier.

Just a tip for you.

Good luck!

Go to a pet store and ask to rent the black light.
Also buy a bottle of Nature's Miracle.

When it is dark, use the blacklight to find the source of the urine.

Apply the Nature's Miracle as directed.

Good luck with that, there are some cleaners for that, but in my experience nothing ever takes the smell away completely, and if it's male cat urine, you might as well forget it. Sorry

use charcoal. Buy a cheap little bag, split it but don't spill any and let it sit. It does take a day or too but will absorb all smells. This is a smell fix, not a clean fix. This will make it tolerable for you to use natures miracle I think it is to clean your upholstery. btw..do not use flavored or lighter fluid soaked charcoal. plain jane bricks..

A 50/50 solution of vinegar and water, it breaks down the urine smell and gets rid of it.
