God says to shake the dust from your feet and move on when someone does this. Why bother to answer someone when their questions are only to mock us?

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but I still make a different choice. I choose to answer them. When God says to shake the dust from your feet and move on, that is AFTER attempting to speak the truth, not BEFORE making this attempt. The person who is just trying to make fun of true Christians may never come around and realize what we have discovered, but until I first make the attempt to share truth with them, I will not just move on. I will not pick and choose who I will speak truth to based on my own perceptions of them (or their questions). Another major reason I choose to answer them is that so many people are not sure what to believe and if Christians don't reply against the false doctrines and false negative stereotypes others have placed on Christians, how will they ever learn the truth?

God promises that His word will not return as void. That means that even if we aren't sure if we will make a difference when we share His truths, someone out there is benefitting from the vast knowledge we share. Many people who go through reading questions and answers will have the opportunity to either side with the one who is making fun of Christians or to side with the true Christians, but if and only if true Christians choose to respond.

To plant the seeds the Lord told us to plant of course. Not all of us who believe in Him were good people before we put out faith in Him. I wasn't. I used to do what you see people here doing, BUT I was also keeping the door open should someone give an answer I could not refute, and I finally found someone who was able to do that. So I began to dig to find more and became a believer because of what I found.

Do not worry about being mocked and being made fun of. You were told in these days there would be many scoffers and you were told what they would say. Those same scoffers are here now and you wonder why. The words of God are happening in front of you, see it for yourself. Those same people who hate you and hate what you stand for are doing what He said they would, like it or not the entire world will act the way He said it would. Do not worry and cheer up, these things you were told would be just before the thief came in the night, so then rejoice and be found doing the work your master gave you, that He might say "Good job, my loyal and faithful servant.".

Technically whilst they are picturing Jesus on the flow, He could be bare. The loincloth grew to become into added in paintings later to cover his circumcision - human beings have been constantly crucified bare to characteristic to the humiliation, and pagans did not pick to understand their new god grew to become into born a Jew. although, calling Christianity effeminate bolsters the theory that basically women individuals have the features of peace, mercy and humility, which anybody is familiar with is utter crap. greater in all probability which you're surprising that they attack homosexuals completely from their very own repressed want, with little to not something to do with the very fact they 'love Christ.' And besides that, females are greater oftentimes grew to become off by potential of violent reflects of stereotypical machismo, so whether that's incredibly the plan that is in all probability that that is backfiring.

Shaking the dust is good.

The only reason I would answer a question that has derogatory remarks is to get through to someone out there with the truth of who God is.

And occasionally I will quote Galatians 6:7 to mockers. God's Word does not return void!

i think this would stop if everybody could just accept the fact that you can be whatever religion you wanna be. its your right as an american. wiccans and athiests and etc get on here and make fun of the christians and the christians get on here and make stupid remarks about wiccans and athiests its a stupid childish cycle. ok so you dont beleive in something. you have absolutely no right to say some one else is wrong or question their beliefs. everybody just needs to grow up and like you say move on.

I agree with you. I am not a Christian, but I do not mock Christianity or the teachings of Christ.

I take issue with the zealots who twist the dogma to suit their own worldly agendas.

If people (even ones who disagree with you) can be talked to; and you walk away, then you waste people.

But to expend effort communicating with others who can't be talked to is to waste words.

Know that there is a difference and be sure to waste neither.

...I cannot be sure every one on here is a mocker or a scoffer. I write my answers, pray, and trust God with the results.
...Some questions are really out there to irritate to be sure, so avoid those type questions if it bugs you.
...I have had some very nice mails and challenging interaction with others, and from they say, God has used me edify some believers. I think it was worth it, and it has helped me bone up on apologetics.

For the millionth time, people are making fun of your religion, not it's parctitioners. For the most part - there are a few exceptions of course. Why must christians take everything so personally?

If having your faith mocked hurts you then you don't really believe all that strongly. Psychology 101

If it bothers you all that much then do as you suggest; shake the dust off your feet and move on. Nobody is forcing you to stay.

yeah, all religions are equally absurd, agreed there.

religions do have some benefits, like teaching the golden rule and helping your fellow man and all. but it's got everyone doing the right things for the wrong reasons

it's awesome to watch the churches backpedal on issues over the centuries. if the church is right about everything, it shouldn't have to change its policies, right?
