depends on what they've done, and how many times they've done it.
if a kid steals a candy bar from the corner store, rehabilitate him.
if a man gets his 5th DUI, punish him.

Wel, i think punishment should come first....i mean, u cant rehabilitate someone and then after they have "mended their ways" punish them.
BUT i think that criminals should not be put in jail for punishment, they should be put there to get them away from the public. punishing them to get revenge is not very good either. So ye, protecting the public and then rehabilitation while they r away from the public.

Why not both? There has to be consequences to actions, and that sometimes includes being punished by society. At the same time, I like to think that people can be better than they currently are. Some people are open to change, some aren't. They should be given a chance.

There should be consequences for their actions. I'm not impressed w/ the success rate of "rehabilitation" given the rate of recidivism. My personal opinion is that criminals should be made to work & make some kind of restitution to their victims/victims' families.

Capital punishment obviously was in place during the time of Jesus and He never spoke specifically about it. I'm all for stiff punishment. I would love to say I don't support capital punishment but if someone murdered my children, I would by lying to myself. So, I am in favor of capital punishment.

Both is fine with me but always punishment (incarceration) first and then rehabilitation if that is possible.

depends on the crime. For those who cannot be rehabilitated, keep them locked up forever.

I say rehabilation, and if that is not an option, then lock them up someplace where they won't be able to hurt or kill anyone else.

Jesus tells us:
"But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." (Luke 19:27.
Jesus is clearly telling us he is Pro Death Penalty.
