I am doing a project on who we are as people in Bible class. I would like some bible verses that would give me some ideas as to who I am.

"As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—"
Ephesians 2:1-8

"At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life."
(Titus 3:3-7)

"So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."

(Ephesians 4:17-24)

Romans 8:16-17 states that we are "Children of God"
and that if we are "Children of God" then we are "Heirs of God" and not only "Heirs of God" but "Joint-Heirs with Christ"
Everything that Christ receives will be ours too! We being heirs have a inheritance. The bible says that eye has not seen nor ears heard neither has even entered into heart of man the good things that God has prepared for us. Even the New Jerusalem itself is foursquare..1500 miles long, 1500 miles wide, 1500 miles high and the cheapest thing is the streets of pure gold!

If you are a believer , you don't have to read anymore on that
one . Just go to a mirror take a good long look and see Gods Creation . Jesus said for anyone who has seen me
has seen the Father . Your heart tells you who you are ,only
you can answer that one other than God . Remember we
are not judge for what we have done . But what is in our
Hearts . We are all Sinners that's what we are and deserve
nothing . That's what we are ............and we all need Jesus
Our Savior to sanctify us and make us Holy.......Amen

I kind of like the way Paul describes us as a "peculiar people"

like in Titus 2:14 "Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

I bet that would be a fun one to study up on and present in your class.

Mankind are GOD's masterpiece.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

As a teacher I would say, do your own research man.

Look in Ephesians and study what it says about who we are in Christ. Make a list. You will be blessed.

Who you are is a question for philosophy. Who they want you to be is a question for religion.
