Some days I'm truly in awe about how amazingly smart and witty people can be.

They open a Yahoo account, and have to come up with a nickname. They fill in "Cho Seung-Hu". After that they go to CNN.com, download a random picture, and use it as their avatar.

As if that wasn't smart and brilliant enough, then they go to Y!A and answer almost every question with "I'm gonna shoot you".

Sometimes it makes me so proud to be part of the human race, really. I wish I had that kind of intellect, wit and kindness.

Can you all join me in a huge round of applause for these fine examples of humanity?

I'm actually surprised you'd waste your points on this question after seeing the conduct of some of our wonderful co-answerers on this site. People come here to act like as.sholes- and disrespect everyone. Some people think that's fun. It'll go away as soon as something else horrible happens.

I dunno- just consider the source and the type of people we've all argued with in the past- you know what I'm talking about- and expect the worst.

Ugh!

This is how some people deal with anxiety - by using inappropriate humor. It's stress relief.

Unfortunately, it's stress relief that inflicts pain or stress on others, which makes it maladaptive.

I think it's the sort of thing best left ignored/reported to Y!A.

Reacting to it gives the person more of a sense of power and control, which is probably what he/she is looking for. But instead of calming the person down, attention often escalates the problem.

Offering a moment of silence or prayer (sincerely) is probably a better answer.

Anyone who gets funny about violence or guns on Yahoo Answers should be reported.

Instead of church people deleting my questions and sending me Violation Notices, why don't they report the real sickos, such as the type you mentioned.

The only time I hit the abuse button was an instance where someone gave advice to use violence. Whether funny or serious it ain't cool.

So this is my opportunity to say to church people: The Violation Notices against me (just because you disagree with my questions) are not funny; I never use offensive language, etc. I have stopped counting all the phony Violation Notices I've received.

Use the abuse button when the reason is valid. If you don't llike my question about your Bible god, ignore it.

It is horrible disrespect to every person hurting from this great tragedy. There is nothing funny or deserving of applause about it. This is an example of what we are teaching our children and that is not to respect themselves or any one else.
We have raised a sick generation if this is an example of humanity.

Not all of us can come up with cool super-hero avatars with creative names and develop interesting questions on challenging or entertaining topics. Some of us have to go with what we see in the media whether it be anna nicole smith or cho.

It is a shame we can't lock them away for being stupid.

It's very disrespectful to say the least. I think a child would have more heart felt respect for all those who have, and are suffering due to this tragedy. To make a mockery of it is just plain hateful.
