5-point Calvinism (aka "Hyper-Calvinism") is not in line with the Southern Baptist Convention's charter. They are out of line with the SBC. You could report them, but it's probably easier to change churches (not denominations).
Hyper-Calvinism nauseates me.
Some statistics: "The first study released by the newly formed LifeWay Research, a department of LifeWay Christian Resources, the SBC publishing arm, addressed Calvinism, finding the number of Southern Baptist pastors embracing five-point Calvinism to be relatively small (about ten percent), but that the conversations on Calvinism within the Southern Baptist Convention have brought renewed interest to the theological system."
I seriously doubt Hyper-Calvinism will ever be a recognized truism in the SBC, but then again, we are living in the Laodicean Age.......

No, Southern Baptist (of which I'm one) are founded in Calvinist belief but most of us draw the line where God chooses your path for you and you have no free will. I believe God knows us so well that He knows the choices we will make... so predestination isn't false. But, I believe wholeheartedly that he gives us the freedom to make those decisions, and a five point calvinist would disagree with that.

Pre destination is required with an omnipotent God.
I say if you are going to believe in the notion of Christianity, you have to have the honesty to think through the implications of omnipotence and then you won't have as much problems with Calvinists.
Either that or let them know that you subscribe to fahrenheit doctrine as it relates to temperatures in hell.

I don't mind Calvinists so much. They already figure that I'm pre-destined for hell, so they don't waste my time trying to save my soul.

If they sing "Just as I am", it makes no difference. It means that they agree that anyone can be saved.
