many religion say "my god"
Muslim says, Allah is the only god
Christ says, Jesus is my god
Hindu says etc, Budha says etc...

if There is only one god, why different religion have their own gods?

why some of u think that ur god is the only one real, why do u belive that, and closing your eyes to the possibility that the other religion has no god.

but if u belive that there is only one god and all religion really are from the same God, what do u think God had in mind by creating different religions?

I tell about Hindu religion. The universal God in Hinduism is Shiva they worship through Lingam the shape of Universe. We have different matter in our life that is Love, Knowledge, Money, etc. Which are different frequency. Hinduism say that they are response by the specific God or Goddess. It mean we follow the number(Quantity) through a figure which don't have the quantity but represent the quantity the same way the God or Goddess are worshiped in Hinduism. Muslim worship Allah the supreme as ArdhaNari in Hindu. Jesus like Shiridi Sai Baba in Hindu. Hinduism is the only religion which accept every religion in the World.

I'm not positive but doesn't God mean creator and sustainer of life. If so then that would be God the father and God the son as referd to in the Holy Bible. God has many different names from what I understand, but his fruit is always the same and you will no them by there fruit. He even goes on to say that even though they didn't no me per say my law were still written upon there hearts. So who are the true believers. I care to say those who have a relationship with God and due his will. True Jesus is the only way, to the best of my knowledge. And the Bible for told of his coming in the old estimate. It also was backed up with the fact that Herod was trying to kill the Christ upon his birth. This means the Devil new something and was using his puppets or servants to try and destroy the Christ before Gods will was performed. It was the same during the period of Moses. So we learn from history. And that is their are people who worship"Gods" that aren't Gods at all But are Demons and Devils. The Bible states are battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers and authorities in the heavenly realm and so on. Meaning spiritual entity's who proclaim there sovernty for a time. Anyway you probably no all this anyway. Good luck God bless and seek the Lord God with all you heart mind and soul and you will find the ancient of days who's wisdom and signature is written thought creation.

Buddha was not a god - Buddha was a man.

Hindus & Krishnas have a lot of different gods.

Christians and Muslims believe in the same god. In fact, they both believe in Jesus. They both believe Jesus was resurrected from the dead. They both believe Jesus was a prophet. They just don't believe Jesus was the son of god. Both religions have the same roots dating back to Abraham. Muslims believe the translations of Muhammed about what happened, Christians believe in the bible's take on things.

WELL I THINK THAT I CAN ANWSER THIS ONE....in Islam...we say our God, because we are the only religion who takes the First Commandment to heart...

According to the Quraan...LA ILALHA ILLAH...this means from Arabic...none is worthy to have worship except Allah(God)

According to the Bibles...THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER OTHER GOD OR GRAVEN INMAGES BEFORE ME...

NOW, the full reason why we say our God is this:

OUR GOD IS ONE, HAVING NO PARTNERS, SUSTAINING ALL PRAISE, WORSHIP AND PRAYER TO JUST HIM

THE GOD OF THE CHRISTIAN, IS GOD AND JESUS, THIS ISN'T THE SAME GOD AS OURS.

BUDDA...THEY ARE ENLIGHTEND BY A GRAVEN IMAGE...

so the difference between us and our God,

Islam takes the word of Allah for what it is...we put no other before Him...JUST AS HE COMMANDED...

Christians give Him partner...JUST AS HE COMMANDED the people not to...

and Buddist have graven images....JUST AS HE COMMANDED the people not to...

also the Bible has been rewrote and revised soooo much to fit almost everyone who follows Christianity...

the Quraan has stayed the same for 1400 years, that is as old as Islam itself...

so that is something else that separates us in our God

Religions are man-made, therefore, there is a plethora of Gods and Goddesses.

People are going to worship something...that's just human nature. They may worship themsevles or they may worship an inanimate object (it could be a statue of the Virgin Mary or it could be money), or a concept, etc.

I don't believe that religions are from God.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura discusses the etymology of the word Allah or Bhagavan in his book, Jaiva Dharma. Few excerpts from that,

He whom you call Allah, we call Bhagavan. Both these words refer to the same Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is called by different names in the Koran, the Puranas, and in different countries and languages. The name that best expresses all the qualities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead should be accepted. That is why we favor the name Bhagavan over Allah, Brahman, Paramatma and all other names. The word Allah means 'He who has no superior'. We do not call superiority the best of the Lord's qualities. We say that wonderfulness is the best of His qualities. To be very big is certainly very wonderful. However, the opposite, to be very small, is also very wonderful. Therefore the name Allah does not reach to the highest limit of the Lord's wonderful qualities. The word Bhagavan, hower, refers to all wonderful qualities human beings can know. It puts them all in one word. The ultimate of greatness and the ultimate of smallness are only one feature of Bhagavan. That He is the master of all potencies is a second feature of Bhagavan. Whatever a human being thinks is impossible, His inconceivable potency can easily accomplish. It is by the power of His inconceivable potency that He both has a form and does not have a form. If we say that He does not have a form, then we deny His inconceivable potency. By His inconceivable potency He has a form and He enjoys pastimes with His devotees eternally. Allah, Brahman and Paramatma are formless, therefore They do not have these wonderful features. Bhagavan is all-auspicious and all- famous. His pastimes are sweet like nectar. Bhagavan is sublimely handsome. With spiritual eyes, the liberated souls gaze on His handsomeness. Bhagavan has all knowledge. He is pure and perfect. He is beyond the touch of matter. His form is spiritual. He is beyond the maeial elements, or 'byut'. Although He is the creator of the material world, Bhagavan is untouched by matter. He is independent. The word Bhagavan means "He who has six opulences'. Bhagavan has two features: 1. opulence and 2. sweetness. The feature of sweetness is the best friend of the spirit souls. He is the Lord of our hearts. He is Krsna or Caitanya. Therefore if someone says that the word of an imaginary form of Bhagavan is 'byut' worship, or worship of matter, that is not in opposition to our philosophy. The Vaisnava religion teaches that one should worship the Lord's eternal form (which is perfectly spiritual). According to the Vaisnava philosophy this kind of worship of the Lord's form is not 'byut' worship. If in any book it is said that this kind of worship is 'byut' worship and is forbidden, then that book has no authority to forbid it. Everything depends on the faith within the heart. A person whose heart is free from 'byut', who is beyond the material world, can worship the pure spiritual form of the Lord.
Note:
1. Krishna means all attractive and greatness is attributed to only one of his many unlimited qulities
2. Caitanya could mean consciousness or another of many forms of Krishna.
3. byut' could refer to ghost or satan or devil.

God had in mind by creating different religions?

GOD did not creat different religions, there is only one GOD.

Deu 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

YHWH(Yahweh), God, Allah.....all the same diety.

Buddha is not considered a god by buddhists. Just somebody that they strive to be like.

The is not only one god, there are many many and its probably due to the fact that humans have this need to believe in something higher than themselves.

Be a god unto yourself and you will always be fulfilled spiritually. Plus you don't have to worry about angering your diety then. lol

Muslims, Jews and Christians all believe in the same God.

Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah. Jews and Muslims do not believe this.

Buddhists do not believe that Buddha was a god, they believe that Buddha was a great man.

Hindus believe that we are all God and God is in all of us.

God did not create "all these religions" people did. There is only one God, there is only one Son of God. People take a cafeteria style approach to belief in God. They want to fit God into their life instead of fitting their life to God.
