Are they the ones that can actually command mountains to jump in the sea? Or are they the ones whose prayers get ignored? If it's the former, I have yet to hear of one. If it's the latter, then doesn't that make them all *true christians*?

If all it takes is to be a true christian is to be saved, baptised, and profess the wholly imagined, then guess what, I'm a true christian! I did that mess years ago. I realized how silly it was later and moved on to bigger, broader ways of thinking, but I had done it none the less. So, I guess I have every right to Heaven as you do, and I don't need YOUR approval. I got it from god, right? He knew I would turn out to be atheist.

Scotty, you are one funny dude, you know that? Jesus says you can say to a mountain 'go and jump into the sea' and the mountain will do it. Are you calling Jesus a liar?

For those of you who say you never had a prayer go unanswered, good for you! I'm glad you got that stain off your shirt. Now pray for something truly helpful, like all cancer being cured tomorrow, all blindness being cured tomorrow, all AIDS being cured tomorrow, and all poverty being eliminated tomorrow. If you can't do that, I'll make it simple, get ONE amputeed veteran their missing limbs. Prove that your prayers are answered, you freekin liars.

The problem with Christianity is that all of them claim that they are 'true' Christians. Their interpretation of the bible has to be true, and everyone else's contradicts scripture. The reason for this is that scripture contradicts itself, making the 'truth' an impossible goal.

When ever Atheists point to the crusades or ethnic cleansing in bosnia, Christians state that these people weren't 'True' Christians, which is an easy excuse, but my guess is that the Knights Templar would disagree vehemently and state that anyone not willing to die for their faith is not a 'true' Christian.

I am with you on the mountain movers. Although thank goodness that isn't a reality, Christians would be dropping mountains on Abortion clinics and Gay nightclubs all over the land.

Hello, new friend. Honesty is a rare thing these days. It is your privilege to be a "confirmed atheist"...I want you to know that this old lady is a Believer, and that I direct you to the story of the feeding of the five thousand, and the four thousand in the scripture. My question? Where did the 12 baskets of bread and fish left over come from, if it was just a lie made up by the writers? Also, the five thousand and the four thousand were just the men named. The women and children who might, just might have been with them were organized into family "heads" as they were fed by Jesus.
Either Jesus was a liar, a crazy man, or just exactly who He said he was, the light come down from Heaven to show us what God the Father was like. Hmmmn. No, I did not say that God is two gods, God is One. God is a Spirit, and those that worship Him worship him in spirit and truth.
So we come back to Honesty. At least you are starting on the right beginning point. And Only God knows who is the true Believer. We can share, we can disagree, we can agree, but in the final analysis, God is the only one who knows just WHO is the TRUE BELIEVER, AND A TRUE CHRISTIAN. John 7.17

The mountains you speak of is the test & trials we go through, I never had a prayer go unanswered, It may not been what I wanted But God knows what is good for me. Anything else you need to know. Oh Yes, A True Christian is one that Lives by the Bible & & not only live it, But also act like a True Christian, many tries to say they are living it, but their actions speaks louder. I have always said in my 37 yrs as a Christian, If I can not live the life, I will not talk the life. Because I am the only bible some people will read.

True Christian is what they all think they are.

To me, it is to worship as Christ worshiped. None of this Catholic doctrine you see. To be a Jew and accept Jesus as the Messiah. To follow the Old Testament laws. To observe all the Sabbaths, the high ones and the weekly ones.

To shun the new set of rules like Easter over Passover, to live like the Babylonians and celebrate the birth of Tammuz on Dec. 25th.

But then Christians would say I follow some false religion but would also be accusing Jesus of the same.

Someone who has truly made a choice to believe God, to follow Jesus, to repent of following their own way and turn to following God's way.

God's way is clearly spelled out for Christians. There are many who claim to be Christians, yet nothing in their lives show this. Some one who is truly Christian will not be ashamed of the gospel, and who will be using the gifts they are given at salvation to serve the Lord.

For those of you reading this who truly want to know more about Christianity, Jesus, God, the bible etc... feel free to email me.

A true believer serves and worships God in spirit and truth. They walk before him with humbleness of heart seeking to please only him. They have the fruits of the spirit visible in their life.
Galatians 5:22-23
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Not manifestations of the flesh.
Galatians 5:19-21
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

A true Christian is someone who accepts Jesus as their saviour and exhibits His love and forgiveness. We cannot move mountains or perform any miracles. We do not profess to. My prayers do not get ignored. God will answer if He chooses in His own time. You also have to know how to pray. Some people claim to be Christian, like the Pharisees, in order to make themselves look good and pure. This is not a Christian, this is hypocritical. You can recognize them because they go around telling everyone they are going to hell and then they continue to sin ceasingly. It is very sad.

True Christians have a relationship with Christ. You want to make mountains move? Bring a pick axe and be prepared to work. As far as prayers getting ignored, I don't feel like mine are ignored. What else you got?

a born again person living free from sins of this world and working to win souls for God's kingdom helping those who need help and caring for the sick like Jesus did.

don't move the mountain lord just give me the strength to climb it. just a little more grace and more of your power, then I'll show the world that I can climb it.
