Hmmm well if at one point you might have a chance in meeting them. Yes why not. However, be careful if distance is an issue because I dated a guy who was in the army in Iraq and come to find out I one day was curious and went on his myspace and found out that he had a girlfriend back at home the entire time. If there is a chance that you will meet them soon...I would give the person a chance...and if not then be real cautious...and one sign to watch out that they are just fun and games is when they feed you all these lines many of us would fall for "you are the most amazing person ever" and they only know you for 2 days.

I think it could be done. As long as you are both honest from the beginning. Sometimes it is easier not having to be face to face you aren't quite as nervous. I think you should take it slow and not rush into anything. I would be a little freaked out if the guy wanted to travel across the country to meet me after only a few conversations. I certainly wouldn't book a flight to meet someone until I was sure there was a possibility of a future for us.

I met several very nice people online. We went out a few times. Nothing came out of it as far as a long term relationship but that does not mean that it could not have worked out eventually. Just be careful, there are some nuts out there who might try to hurt you.

Just make sure your expectations are set upfront.
You hear all kinds of stories. I would start a fun relationship online with the expectation that it may not turn into something serious.

I always thought it was stupid and that all online people lie.. until I met someone I couldn't stop talking to ... online.
Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. About online relationship is that you have to play it safe more then often, because anything can be a lie, until you actually meet.

Starting a relationship with someone online is possible but can also be very dangerous.
Considering that anyone could be lying to you because they want to take something from you or worse..
So be very careful, do your background homework and cover your aces.

I met my girlfriend online and we have been together for almost 5 years. It depends on the kind of person you meet.

These days it`s terribly difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff, but, there again if one didn`t try something once or twice how are we to say "well when I was young we did this `n` we did that" so yes,if I felt confident & comfortable I would.
