Paranoid, much?
China has enough problems of its own just trying to deal with one billion people; why the heck would they want to try to take responsibility for six+ billion? Taking over the world is only an attractive proposition until you actually have to, y'know, run it.

What do you mean by "take over the world"?!
Sure, China has become the "world's factory floor";i.e.you're probably wearing or using something made in China. But it will be another 25 years before the Chinese economy overtakes its US counterpart. Militarily, China's army owns outdated equipment (mostly Soviet unreliable vintage weapons), its suffers from inefficiencies that inherently afflict former communist states and even if the becomes a superpower in the distant future (after you and i are gone), it won't be alone because the US is forming a strategic alliance with India (a democracy) to counter the emerging dual threat of Russia and China. So I don't think you should be hysterical! :-D

I think there's a possibility.. When something like "The Day after Tomorrow" happens in new york...
But before they do anything, people all over the world, who have nothing better to do, will rally and go on strike outside china embassies.

You can expect a war within the next 25 years with china. I will be a quick one. First the Chinese will send a EMP shock-wave from their recently launched satellite and wipe out everything with a computer circuit then you can expect the nukes to come heading our way. They will win the war in apx one hour, as defined in Revelation 17. The merchants will wail because they have no where to sell their goods.

Go_Know_Thyself has a good point for all the correct reasons about the Chinese. The issue of who takes over the world will be played out in the middle east and I suspect in the not to distant future.

It wont... Communism and pollution due to greed over growth and industry will kill them all off before they ever come into any kind of power over anyone else.
People believe that the communist manifesto protects them from corruption and crime... It is just a different kind of corruption and crime.
Just as the Russians did as a result...They will implode from within for all the same reasons...
Now Japan... I would begin to start worrying about Japan as a Superpower... But not too much, as I personally wouldn't mind being under Japanese rule.
*Right back at chya Patrick! I agree on that point as well... Look where all of our money has actually gone over the past 20 years... Ever been to a Saudi Shopping mall? Tres chic!

How long do you think, before China implodes under the weight of its own social and environmental problems?

They will have the means in about 5 years.
I don't think they will want to as they realize that the real power and control is in "money". Don't be like us and send in troops, just control their financial systems.
And in that aspect they are truly taking over the world.

china is a MONSTER! they kill us in industry and production. American corporations are constantly giving jobs that used to be given to americans to chinese citizens. china has a huge workforce and they are constantly catching up to us in technology. if you don';t think china is taking over, go to your local retail store and see where everything is made. American companies are all to happy to give employment to china.
