Actually this is just the opposite for me and the people I know. More WOMEN save around me than the men. Most of the women I know are loaded and the men don't have a clue as they go spending it all on their toys in the garage.

When I read this, I thought you were crazy. Seeing other peoples replies, maybe not. I know more men than women, who have filed for bankruptcy or are very deep in debt due to terrible spending habits. I wonder what the actually statistics are to this.

Thats soooo easy.....
...because women have to spend more money on shoes, handbags, clothes, make-up, hair colour, hair cuts, (all of which are more expensively priced than the males equivalent).
My b'friend buys men's nivea moisturiser.
I buy Chanel moisturiser.
He has a lot more money than I do =)

I think your generalization is way off. I'd say for every relationship you can find, there is a different dynamic as far as finances are concerned. You can't make a blanket statement like that, it's just not accurate.

Because most of us can get by with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.
We don't need (nor want) the latest fashions, and we have no requirement to own 10 pairs of shoes.

There is no overall answer to this.
You answered your own question by saying not all men, but all the one's I know.
I know tons of women who are better at saving money.
People are people. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses.
